VIS Meeting on 2016/6/3

2016/6/3 13:30 -

Room 210

Participants:Takahashi, Sato, Ishizaki, Mark, Hirata, Fujii, Fabian, Aso, Shoda, Akutsu

Overall Schedule

  • The current overall schedule chart.

iKAGRA related activities

PR3

  • PR3 post-run work status (Fujii)
    • TF and Q measuremnts were done. Now analyzing the data.

bKAGRA preparation

Important Issues

  • New meeting format (Aso)
    • Each team will have individual meetings every week (F2F)
    • Each team will report the progress at the plenary VIS meeting.
      • Progress is checked against the schedule charts to be submitted by the team leaders by June 8th.
      • The schedule chart should be updated whenever necessary
    • After the progress check, important issues relevant to entire VIS team will be discussed
      • The topics will be picked by Aso
      • Everyone is welcome to suggest topics to Aso
    • Will start the new format from the next week.
  • Site check for the preparation of Type-A installation (Aso)
    • Need check the transportation path of large items to the 2F of the end stations.
    • Takahashi, Ishizaki, Sato will come to Kamioka in the week of July 4th contingent on Miyoki-san's availability
  • BS dummy mirror design (Mark)

    • Larger reflector will be prepared by Akutsu-kun (will get quotes soon)
  • Accelerometers for IP

    • Is Geophone too noisy for innertial damping in Kamioka ? (Shoda) Slides

      • If the noise of the Geophones is as described in the slides, using Geophone should be fine.
      • However, the real noise of the Geophones is not well known. A measurement in Kamioka is necessary.
      • Shoda or Fujii will do the measurements along with the NIKHEF accelerometers sometime in June

    • NIKHEF accelerometers for BS
      • Test status (Fujii)
        • Resonant freq. and Q of the accelerometer were shifted from the previous measurements (still a mystery)
        • Did ring down measurements
        • Necessary parameters to convert the output to m/rtHz are obtained.
        • Still analyzing the data
        • Will present the results in the next VIS meeting

    • #Which accelerometers for SR ?
      • # Buy from NIKHEF ? How much is the cost ?
      • # Get the design from NIKHEF and produce them in Japan (ATC) ?
  • Pre-isolator assembly and tests

    • Need to make a plan for the assembly of the SRC PI.
    • If possible assembly by Sato-san is better as he will do it for Type-A too.
    • Takahashi will make more detailed schedule for PI assemblyto see if Sato-san can do the SRC work.
  • Dummy payload design for Type-A

    • SEO is now considering if we can use the iKAGRA ETMs for this or not.
  • Bottom Filter LVDT -> To be discussed at the next meeting

    • Virgo people wants to produce ones for us.
    • Status ? (Raffaele)
  • #Assembly frames
    • We need to combine things into one contract
    • Type-B assembly frame: order immediately (Takahashi)

Common Issues

  • Wide OSEM production (Akutsu)
    • Flexible circuit status ?-> asked for quotation to the company (6/2).

Electronics

  • List of requested electronics from VIS
    • The latest list

    • Need to add satellite boxes for IMMT (2 of them) to the list (Takahashi)

    • IMMT OSEM cables will be different from other OSEMs
  • #Watch dog system (Tanaka)
    • photo-MOS relay switch resistance fluctuation
      • Noise requirement for the resistance fluctuation is necessary (Aso)
        • If we require the resistance noise to be smaller than DAC noise, the allowed fluctuation is 10^-7 Ohm/sqrt(Hz)@10Hz.
        • Asking Michimua-kun to calculate the requirements from the suspension response.
      • Tanaka measured the photo-MOS relay resistance fluctuation-> 37mOhm RMS upper limit

        • Will make spectrum of the resistance fluctuation.

Type-B

  • KAGRA/Subgroups/VIS/TypeB

  • Task list/schedule

  • Type B Past Week Summary
    • Fabian worked on IM and dummy BS assembly: photos1, photos2

      • A hole in a picomotor holder was too small. ATC staff solved this isue quickly and Hirata-san cleaned the piece.
      • Some ballast discs for the dummy optic were dirty (seen by visual inspection). Hirata-san cleaned them.
      • Some arrows were cleaned from the mirrors for the dummy optic.
    • Hirata-san worked on checking Mirapro's assembly frame design - some minor issues with rail system found.
    • Hirata-san measured another filter.
    • Hirata-san washed a large batch of parts.
    • All parts for gluing of dummy BS are in hand. We arranged with Tatsumi-san to glue magnets at Mitaka on 6/6, glue flags at Kashiwa on 6/8, and inspect bonds and bring dummy BS back to Mitaka 6/13.
    • Mark worked on solutions to allow a larger mirror on dummy BS. After discussions with Simon and Akutsu-san we decided to go with a stainless steel plate solution. The gluing can go ahead and we can attach the plates later.

    • Mark worked on list of items for purchase in FY2016.
    • Mark worked on finding connectors for vacuum-compatible geophone adapters.
    • Mark worked more on E1504235 BS Assembly Procedure (Draft on OneDrive)

  • Discussions

    • BS assembly frame contract: ordered. delivery date = July 8.
    • Review: send doodle poll (Mark)

Type A

  • Task list (Takahashi) -> working on more detailed one.

  • Clean booth design for 2F https://www.dropbox.com/s/8bi9ij91radmpt5/IXYV160512.pdf?dl=0

    • Sketch

    • Discussing with Miyoki-san (Takahashi, Aso)
  • Prototype test of the EQ stop
    • Cleaned the ATC room for starting the test
  • Frame lock: made a design change to make it stronger. Will order it next week.
  • Sensors to monitor the release of the SFs from the EQ stop.
  • Type-B Standard Filters preparation
    • Will start the measurement of the SFs for Type-A from the next week.
  • The next Type-A meeting will be on 6/9.
  • #Simultion (Okutomi)
  • #Local sensors for BF

Type-Bp modification

  • Modification for bKAGRA

    • Saito-san of ATC produced the first draft design -> now checking the design (Shoda)

    • Still waiting for the LVDT design from Virgo
    • Full CAD model of the original Type-Bp is almost done (Shoda)
  • A/I till next week
    • First draft of the installation procedure (Fujii)
