Task List
(Task-1) Cryogenic Payload
- Collaboration on the cryogenic payload design (2015)
- Property measurement of cryogenic materials (2015) : (1) application and removal of indium (2) measurements of the thermal resistance of heat links and joint interfaces
- Development of local sensors and actuators (2015)
- Assembly and testings of the payload prototype : (1) platform assembly [1Q-2Q] (2) cooling test [3Q-4Q] (3) suspension assembly [1Q-4Q] (4) control test [2015 3Q - 2016 2Q] (5) vibration test [2016 1-2Q, JAXA]
2. Installation and commissioning at the KAGRA site
- It would be helpful if the ELiTES participants could join the installation and commissioning at Kamioka. Currently the regulation in Kamioka says the overseas participants can work at the site only with KAGRA researchers so the best way would be that the ELiTES participants come to Kamioka when the KAGRA cryogenic group members work there for the installation and commissioning.
(Task-2) Cool-down test of the cryostat + duct shield

(Task-3) Installation of the cryogenic payload prototype
- - Installation (2016, 1-2Q) - Cooling test and control test (2016, 3-4Q)
Actual cooling of the real system would be done in 2017. We will perform some fundamental tests and error checkings of the cryo-payload prototype that is currently under fabrication at KEK by the end of 2015. We will then move on to the fabrication of the real machine at KEK-ICRR so the prototype shall be moved to Kamioka and used for an assembly test.
