|| 220 || 2015 Jul. 31||A. Hagiwara ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design ||Hagiwara-san introduced new CAD drawing of Type A to vacuum chamber. She thinks that check by VIS is necessary. As first step, her drawing is uploaded in dropbox.|| ||
|| 221 || 2015 Jul. 31|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design ||We observed motion of first floor. So, we must check motion of the second floor. The results of survey on the first and second floors must be connected (via slope or stairs ?). Round connection is better. In any cases, VIS and CRY must consider carefully (not only survey but also installation). || ||
|| 222 || 2015 Jul. 31||Y. Aso ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design ||The largest concern of survey is lack of human resource. Outsourcing could be a solution (budget is an issue). Yoichi tells this issue to SEO. || ||

|| 226 || 2015 Aug. 4||E. Majorana, K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design ||We measure vibration of radiation shield at KAGRA site (X end, probably, June or July 2016). Ettore said that KAGRA can use Luca’s vertical accelerometer and Luca is interested (He can measure). However, Ettore and Kazuhiro found that sensitivity improvement is necessary (Meas. Sci. Technol. 25 (2014) 015103). Ettore checks noise at cryogenic temperature (electric noise is dominated by thermal noise) and performance at Sardinian mine. Ettore also pointed out that the sensitivity is larger when we increase pump current (in the measurement at Toshiba, this current is as small as possible because they are afraid that current can generate heat). We keep touch and exchange information before we start measurement. || ||
|| 227 || 2015 Aug. 4||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design ||We measure vibration of radiation shield at KAGRA site (X end, probably, June or July 2016). Kazuhiro will ask Tatsumi-san the status (He has Dan’s horizontal accelerometer now). || ||

|| 231 || 2015 Sep. 8|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Preparation of Slow DAQ test at KAGRA site in iKAGRA. CRY intends to check whether DAQ and some thermometers work and joins the preparation of Yoichi and Kazuhiro (H) et al. on next month. CRY must summarize connectors by this preparation. Cables (about 20m length, where they are put (along wall, ceiling, …), ) must be taken care of. || ||
|| 232 || 2015 Sep. 8||T. Tomaru ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Takayuki asks Osamu to correct schematic view of Slow DAQ later. || ||
|| 233 || 2015 Sep. 8|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || We can check output of thermometer in cryostats via ICRR VPN. We must investigate how to access from KEK. || ||
|| 234 || 2015 Sep. 8|| AOS ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Torisha will deliver two cryo ducts (for end cryostat on the Beam Reducing Telescope side). The first one will arrive on March and the next one will on April or May. So, the first and second one can be test on middle of February and March (or April), respectively (Inhomogeneous SolBlack could be an issue). AOS consider what point must be checked. || ||
|| 235 || 2015 Sep. 8|| AOS ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || AOS checks black coating on low magnetism stainless steel (NSSC-130S from Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal). || ||
|| 236 || 2015 Sep. 8||T. Miyamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Hagiwara-san revised clamp. But so far, bending length of metal wires is not taken into account. Kazuhiro (Y)’s rough evaluation suggest that it could be several mm. Takahiro will check. || ||
|| 237 || 2015 Sep. 8||T. Tomaru ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || In order to reduce weight, the Marionetta looks delicate. So, Takayuki checks how much the first resonant frequency is. || ||
|| 238 || 2015 Sep. 8||A. Hagiwara, T. Tomaru ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Rahul proposed heavier intermediate mass (to reduce recoil loss). The platform weight could be 60 kg weight. If so, intermediate mass can be heavier. Takayuki and Higiwara-san will check later. || ||
|| 239 || 2015 Sep. 8|| ||Closed. It is OK if we can adjust the weight of mass within 10% of weight of mass itself (In usual case, about 20kg. So, small masses for adjustment is about 2kg in total.) ||Overall design || We discuss the small weight for adjustment of weight of each mass. We must consult with VIS. || ||
|| 240 || 2015 Sep. 8|| ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Takayuki mentioned that heat extraction test for ACTUAL KAGRA sapphire suspension (otherwise, we cannot know how much mirror temperature is). But it is not easy … We must consider. || ||
|| 241 || 2015 Sep. 15|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Sensor and actuator for vertical (and pitch) motion of intermediate mass is considered. || ||
|| 242 || 2015 Sep. 15|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || VIS discusses whether (or when) they send their drivers and so on to CRY. Ryutaro sends information of details later. || ||
|| 243 || 2015 Oct. 14|| ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || We must measure thickness of indium (between nail head and blade spring, and between nail head and sapphire hook (ear). || ||
|| 244 || 2015 Oct. 14|| ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Oil in micrometers can be an issue (source of contamination (information from VIS)). We must wash or look for vacuum compatible ones. || ||

|| 248 || 2015 Dec. 24||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Takayuki asked whether we can use clean booth (class 1000) in Advanced measurement experiment building of KEK. Yes, we can. Kazuhiro considers how much area is necessary. || ||
|| 249 || 2015 Dec. 24||K. Yamamoto ||Closed. http://gwdoc.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/cgi-bin/private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=4914 ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Four sapphire ears from IMPEX will be delivered tomorrow. Kazuhiro proposed that we ask Ueda-san and Enami-san to measure flatness and geometrical shape and that we provide jig to fix ears for measurement. || ||

|| 255 || 2016 Feb. 2|| ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Takayuki asks Ryutaro, Yoichi, Osamu, Taknori whether CRY can use digital system of VIS. || ||
|| 256 || 2016 Feb. 2|| ||<#ff0000> ||Material || We must take care of magnetism of Maraging. Takayuki is afraid that magnetism of Maraging causes issue. Tomotada pointed out Ni coating to avoid rust on Maraging dominates magnetism. Takayuki suggests that Cr coating can be better. || ||
|| 257 || 2016 Mar. 1||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Takayuki suggested combination of height gauge and dial gauge (350mm length with 0.01mm precision) in order to measure length of sapphire fiber. Kazuhiro checks. || ||
|| 258 || 2016 Mar. 1||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Kazuhiro must write investigation report to IMPEX carefully as feedback. Result of flatness measurement by IMPEX is not consistent with Ueda-san’s (We can ask third person ?). || ||
|| 259 || 2016 Mar. 1||K. Yamamoto ||He asked quotation for 8 fibers and 16 fibers. Quotation is on KEK wiki: Quotation IMP-160316-3-Bars (sapphi.. in http://wiki.kek.jp/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=37159777 ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || We must purchase extra fibers from IMPEX. || 264 || 2016 Apr. 13||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> Kazuhiro visited NAOJ and found some parts must be ordered or he asks mechanical workshop.->Kazuhiro visited Rome on 20th of May. Luca, Ettore and Kazuhiro discussed. They will install accelerometers on autumn at a cryostat in the center room. In this case, measurement is after autumn. However, they prepare everything by end of July.||Overall design || Kazuhiro is charge of measurement of vibration in radiation shield in summer 2016. He contacts Ettore, Luca, and Tatsumi-san to check status of accelerometers. || ||
|| 265 || 2016 Apr. 13||R. Kumar ||<#ff0000> ||Vertical spring || Rahul shows simulation result for vertical spring in platform in the next meeting. || ||
|| 266 || 2016 Apr. 13||K. Yamamoto ||Closed. He did it. ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Kazuhiro will send information for specification list (flatness, report about flatness measurement) to Shinkosha for procurement in fiscal year 2016. || ||
|| 267 || 2016 Apr. 13||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> IMPEX replied it is difficult to polish bonding surface with such large slits. So we order exactly same one as those in the last fiscal year.||Sapphire monolithic suspension || It is better that slits of sapphire ears is large (about 7mm) for future improvement (thicker fiber can be used). Kazuhiro asks IMPEX quotation for ears with wide slits and whether they can make enhance with of slits in delivered ears. Takayuki asks Shinkosha whether they can make such ears and quotation. || ||
|| 268 || 2016 Apr. 13||K. Yamamoto ||<#ff0000> ||Sapphire monolithic suspension || Kazuhiro will measure vibration in shield of middle size cryocooler at Kashiwa. || ||
|| 269 || 2016 Apr. 19||K. Yamamoto ||Closed. Unfortunately, KEK clean booth introduced by Takayuki (ISO 6 at most) is not enough for bonding. Virgo clean booth is ISO3. LIGO has ISO 1 booth in ISO 2 or 3 booth. ->#271 ||Overall design || We must check cleanness of LIGO and Virgo. || ||

|| 272 || 2016 May 10||T. Tomaru ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Clamp for metal wires: Contact point (or area) between wire and mass is an issue. If it is too wide, contact point is not defined sharply and it could imply low Q-values. If it is too narrow, wire could be broken. Takayuki asks Mark details of clamp in AdLIGO. || ||
|| 273 || 2016 May 10||T. Tomaru ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || Takayuki will check how to fix cables in payload (he asks VIS). || ||
|| 274 || 2016 May 10|| ||<#ff0000> ||Material || Since low magnetism stainless steel is too hard, VIC applied heat treatment before processing of recoil mass. We must check effect of this heat treatment. VIC have plan to heat metal for other customers. Small sample from us can put in furnace at same time. || ||
|| 275 || 2016 Jun.7 || ||<#ff0000> ||Overall design || If somebody has idea of experiment in cooling test of KAGRA cryostat at site, please announce as soon as possible. || ||

Closed. Takahiro shows result; he assumed that length is 250mm, thickness is 2mm, width is 40mm. In this case, appropriate load is 9.73kg weight. Since payload is 120kg in weight, we need 12 blades.->(#214)

Vertical spring

In order to make platform smaller, Takahiro ask Takanori how to design GAS filter. Rahul simulates the smaller (but similar) GAS filter.

209

2015 Jun. 2

Overall design

Rahul investigates new ideas as follow;(1)We would like to reduce of weight Recoil mass of marionetta (40kg->20kg).(2)Recoil mass of intermediate mass (In current design, there is no such mass.)(3)Rigid connection between recoil mass of marionette and that of intermediate mass (as below photo)(4)Rigid connection between marionette and intermediate mass.

210

2015 Jun. 2

Overall design

We must also consider cables of sensors.

211

2015 Jun. 9

Sapphire monolithic suspension

In order to check how Q-values depend on the surface, Kazuhiro later will send the IMPEX monolithic fiber to Takayama-san(National Institute for Fusion Science).

212

2015 Jun. 9

K. Yamamoto

Material

Kazuhiro proceeds with the procurement of low magnetism stainless steel. He will ask whether the increase of magnetism by processing can be reduced by heat treatment.

213

2015 Jun. 16

Overall design

Since it is not easy to carry something along Y arm, maybe we carry from Mozumi entrance. In this case, some cranes or something similar are necessary at Mozumi entrance (Truck from outside cannot enter the KAGRA site !)

214

2015 Jun. 16

Vertical spring

Hagiwara-san checks whether these 12 blade springs (simulated by Takahiro (#)208) can be installed in platform or not.

215

Takahiro upload memo about how to design blade spring in GAS (in short what Takanori taught) on KEK wiki.

216

2015 Jul. 8

Sapphire monolithic suspension

Jig for ears on mirror during Hydroxide Catalysis Bonding process. The adjustment along direction which is perpendicular to optical axis is difficult. The end of flat cut is not good reference. Moreover, how to put mark (and remove later) is not an easy issue. Hiroki and Kazuhiro are considering.

217

2015 Jul. 8

Sapphire monolithic suspension

Final version of design drawing of end sapphire mirror will be uploaded on KEK wiki.

218

2015 Jul. 31

220

2015 Jul. 31

A. Hagiwara

Overall design

Hagiwara-san introduced new CAD drawing of Type A to vacuum chamber. She thinks that check by VIS is necessary. As first step, her drawing is uploaded in dropbox.

221

2015 Jul. 31

Overall design

We observed motion of first floor. So, we must check motion of the second floor. The results of survey on the first and second floors must be connected (via slope or stairs ?). Round connection is better. In any cases, VIS and CRY must consider carefully (not only survey but also installation).

222

2015 Jul. 31

Y. Aso

Overall design

The largest concern of survey is lack of human resource. Outsourcing could be a solution (budget is an issue). Yoichi tells this issue to SEO.

223

2015 Jul. 31

Overall design

We must summarize what we must survey (change of whole tunnel should be measured).

224

2015 Jul. 31

Overall design

Requirements and specifications (length, collimation, and so on) of short optical lever for cryo payload should be summarized.

2015 Aug. 4

E. Majorana, K. Yamamoto

Overall design

We measure vibration of radiation shield at KAGRA site (X end, probably, June or July 2016).

227

2015 Aug. 4

K. Yamamoto

Overall design

We measure vibration of radiation shield at KAGRA site (X end, probably, June or July 2016). Kazuhiro will ask Tatsumi-san the status (He has Dan’s horizontal accelerometer now).

Overall design

Preparation of Slow DAQ test at KAGRA site in iKAGRA.

232

2015 Sep. 8

T. Tomaru

Overall design

Takayuki asks Osamu to correct schematic view of Slow DAQ later.

233

234

2015 Sep. 8

AOS

Overall design

Torisha will deliver two cryo ducts (for end cryostat on the Beam Reducing Telescope side). The first one will arrive on March and the next one will on April or May. So, the first and second one can be test on middle of February and March (or April), respectively (Inhomogeneous SolBlack could be an issue). AOS consider what point must be checked.

235

2015 Sep. 8

AOS

Overall design

AOS checks black coating on low magnetism stainless steel (NSSC-130S from Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal).

236

2015 Sep. 8

T. Miyamoto

Overall design

Hagiwara-san revised clamp. But so far, bending length of metal wires is not taken into account. Kazuhiro (Y)’s rough evaluation suggest that it could be several mm. Takahiro will check.

237

2015 Sep. 8

T. Tomaru

Overall design

In order to reduce weight, the Marionetta looks delicate. So, Takayuki checks how much the first resonant frequency is.

238

2015 Sep. 8

A. Hagiwara, T. Tomaru

Overall design

Rahul proposed heavier intermediate mass (to reduce recoil loss). The platform weight could be 60 kg weight. If so, intermediate mass can be heavier. Takayuki and Higiwara-san will check later.

239

2015 Sep. 8

Closed. It is OK if we can adjust the weight of mass within 10% of weight of mass itself (In usual case, about 20kg. So, small masses for adjustment is about 2kg in total.)

Overall design

We discuss the small weight for adjustment of weight of each mass. We must consult with VIS.

240

2015 Sep. 8

Sapphire monolithic suspension

Takayuki mentioned that heat extraction test for ACTUAL KAGRA sapphire suspension (otherwise, we cannot know how much mirror temperature is). But it is not easy … We must consider.

241

2015 Sep. 15

Overall design

Sensor and actuator for vertical (and pitch) motion of intermediate mass is considered.

242

2015 Sep. 15

Overall design

Takayuki asks Ryutaro, Yoichi, Osamu, Taknori whether CRY can use digital system of VIS.

256

2016 Feb. 2

Material

We must take care of magnetism of Maraging. Takayuki is afraid that magnetism of Maraging causes issue. Tomotada pointed out Ni coating to avoid rust on Maraging dominates magnetism. Takayuki suggests that Cr coating can be better.

257

2016 Mar. 1

K. Yamamoto

Sapphire monolithic suspension

Takayuki suggested combination of height gauge and dial gauge (350mm length with 0.01mm precision) in order to measure length of sapphire fiber. Kazuhiro checks.

Sapphire monolithic suspension

Kazuhiro will send information for specification list (flatness, report about flatness measurement) to Shinkosha for procurement in fiscal year 2016.

267

2016 Apr. 13

K. Yamamoto

IMPEX replied it is difficult to polish bonding surface with such large slits. So we order exactly same one as those in the last fiscal year.

Sapphire monolithic suspension

It is better that slits of sapphire ears is large (about 7mm) for future improvement (thicker fiber can be used). Kazuhiro asks IMPEX quotation for ears with wide slits and whether they can make enhance with of slits in delivered ears. Takayuki asks Shinkosha whether they can make such ears and quotation.

T. Tomaru

Overall design

Clamp for metal wires: Contact point (or area) between wire and mass is an issue. If it is too wide, contact point is not defined sharply and it could imply low Q-values. If it is too narrow, wire could be broken. Takayuki asks Mark details of clamp in AdLIGO.

273

2016 May 10

T. Tomaru

Overall design

Takayuki will check how to fix cables in payload (he asks VIS).

274
