How to remote control the CDS machines (in the mine) from the control room workstations

  1. open the network setting window by System => Setting => Network connection

  2. choose eth0, and edit
  3. open the tab "IPv4 setting"
  4. edit the netmask to 255.255.0.0
  5. close the network setting window
  6. open a terminal

  7. sudo /etc/init.d/network restart

  8. confirm that the netmask is properly changed
  9. open an internet browser

  10. go to http://10.68.99.120/index.html (or the IP address of what you want to control)

  11. from the remote control menu, you can power on and off the machine.
