  * planning for measurement at KASI of Aztec sample: surface measurement first, then test of TWE measurements
  * discussion on how to improve characterization setup at NAOJ in particular cleanliness and available space
  * Marc proposed to prepare a presentation for next MIR meeting about improvement of birefringence tests
 1. Report on birefringence measurement on KAGRA site
  * more detailed report will be given by Haoyu (absent today) at the next SIM meeting on September 15th
