* Activity report for weeks of 12/26 and 1/2 | === Type B (Mark) === ==== Past week report ==== At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Perry, Hirata-san): |
Line 7: | Line 9: |
* Hirata-san: * Modified parts list and screw list for payload. * Sent lists to i-ject and asked for preliminary quotes. * Made drawings for some jigs (PR hold-down jig) and some parts for payload (PR/SR wire clamps with disposable jaw pieces - improved version with disposable pieces in both primary and secondary clamps). * For Type Bp: * Searched for PR gluing jigs. * Washed and assembled recoilmass base for mirror hanging jigs, and sent them to Kamioka. * Washed additional masses for IM and sent them to Kamioka. * For others: * Washed IMMT plate and sent them to Kamioka. * Fabian * Designed a pull down system to fix the PR IM to the EQ stop (similar to the SR one). * Worked on design of the SR assembly frame. As hoped, the SR version can be almost identical to the BS version. * Worked on design of additional trim mass (≈18 kg) for the BS BF. * Checked assembly PR/SR drawings. There were a few corrections/changes. * Checked fastener list. There were few corrections/changes. * Checked component list for the manufacture order. There were few corrections/changes. * Helped in searching for the PR gluing jigs. * Mark * Started design of SR assembly frame (but then passed it to Fabian). * Worked on task lists and schedule. * Plan for 1/10-13 * Mark and Fabian at Kamioka: * Finish rebalance of IM * Reinstall IRM, adjust OSEMs * Replace broken Type 3 cable. * Do TFs from IRM OSEMs to IRM and IM OSEMs. * Cable up and test BF LVDT and fishing rod (time permitting). * Disconnect BF and ship back to Mitaka (time permitting). * Hirata-san: * More SR procurement. |
* Craned in the PI. * Assembled the thrust bearing holder that receives the PI-SF rod. (It originally had a burr that prevented the bearing from seating properly, and so required filing and re-cleaning.) * Hooked the SF and lowered the jacks under the SF to suspend the SF/... section. * The top filter rose when unlocked, and required about 1.8 kg to send it back down. Therefore we may be OK - the top filter seems to have about 8 kg more capacity than as measured by G&M. The hex cable clamp (≈0.25 kg) and the cables between the PI and SF still have to be added, but we can get an extra 3 kg by removing one of the three Cu damper segments (and rearranging the other two). * Built and installed three LBB blade units. * Kept debugging the SF LVDT. We repaired several broken wires, but it's still not behaving correctly. ==== Plan for coming weeks ==== For more detail, see [[KAGRA/Subgroups/VIS/TypeB/ToDo]]. Week of 5/1: * No activity (Golden Week). Week of 5/8: * Work from Tuesday. * Remove PI temporarily. * Add magnets to upper SF damper ring. * Reinstall PI with damper ring. * Reinstall PI-SF rod, this time with hex cable clamp. * Install PI yaw stepper. * Wire up PI yaw and vertical steppers. * Route cables from SF to PI (may involve removing part of Cu damper). |

Type B (Mark)
Past week report
At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Perry, Hirata-san):
- Craned in the PI.
- Assembled the thrust bearing holder that receives the PI-SF rod. (It originally had a burr that prevented the bearing from seating properly, and so required filing and re-cleaning.)
- Hooked the SF and lowered the jacks under the SF to suspend the SF/... section.
The top filter rose when unlocked, and required about 1.8 kg to send it back down.
- Built and installed three LBB blade units.
- Kept debugging the SF LVDT. We repaired several broken wires, but it's still not behaving correctly.
Plan for coming weeks
For more detail, see KAGRA/Subgroups/VIS/TypeB/ToDo.
Week of 5/1:
- No activity (Golden Week).
Week of 5/8:
- Work from Tuesday.
- Remove PI temporarily.
- Add magnets to upper SF damper ring.
- Reinstall PI with damper ring.
- Reinstall PI-SF rod, this time with hex cable clamp.
- Install PI yaw stepper.
- Wire up PI yaw and vertical steppers.
- Route cables from SF to PI (may involve removing part of Cu damper).
