| * Did drawings of SR damper. * Mark, Fabian, Enzo and Hirata-san (at Kamioka): * Took the end plate off the IM to get access to the pitch/roll picos. * Found the pitch pico was unreliable and replaced it. * Found the springs were not stiff enough, and immobilized 7 turns at the end of each with Cu wire to make them stiffer. * Reassembled and rebalanced the IM. * Reassembled and adjusted the IRM. * Discovered that the transverse offset between IRM and IM could be corrected by adjusting the roll of the BF. * Adjusted IM OSEMs to half-way. * Made and installed a new pair of wires for the BF yaw pico on the IM pico adapter (Hirata-san). * Installed an improved LVDT cable made by Hirata-san. * Made and hung posters for the Elites meeting visitors. |
* Worked on the PR optic removal jig. * Worked on getting modified quotes for PR/SR/BS parts. * Enzo-san * Worked on getting his drivers license. * Worked on getting familiar with the Type B circuit diagram. * Mark, Fabian (at Kamioka): * Tried different strategies for getting the IRM-IM EQ stops and IRM OSEMs to line up simultaneously. * Realized that the main problem was that the pitch of the BS had changed relative to the IM (presumably due to slight slippage of the wires) so the IM had to be pitched up by 16 mrad to get the BS pitched slightly down (4.7 mrad). * Took the sides off the IRM to get access to the clamps and tightened them to prevent further slips. * Rebalanced the IM to be level in pitch (and roll). * Reassembled the IRM and aligned the IRM-IM EQ stops - this time it was easy. * Adjusted the IRM and RM OSEMs to mid-range. * Got Kokeyama's new real-time model working and started TFs. ==== Plan for coming weeks ==== * Mark and Enzo come to Kamioka and work on rack and cabling. * Fabian works on design, including SR assembly frame. * Hirata-san works on procurement. |
