==== Report for week of 7/30 ====
 * We set up an OL outside the tank and checked the SR3 pitch - it was OK.
 * We ran power to the SR3 pico and stepper drivers and tested them.
 * We tried to offload a 700 µm discrepancy between the BF GAS zero position and the IM-V zero position but ended up scrambling the IRM-IM alignment, probably through sending a command to the wrong pico driver. We mostly fixed the BF/IRM pitch/roll, but we have some more work to do to fix the IM/RM/TM pitch/roll.
 * We debugged a problem with the SR2 alignment - the chain was offset by about 5 mm to +T, leading to fouling at the IM and RM levels. Some 2 mm of the offset was due to the F0 keystone being off center, apparently due to some combination of different-strength blades and the CuBe auxiliary spring, but the rest is a mystery.
 * We fixed a problem with the levelness of the PI due to the feet of the IP being set at uneven heights into the PI weldment, and it got the IP very closed to centered but it didn't fix the fouling problem.
 * We eventually fixed the fouling by setting the security structure at a slight angle so it remains slightly off at the SF level but is good at the bottom.
 * We installed the SR2 SF damper Cu segments and magnet ring.
 * Enzo and team debugged a malfunctioning bit in the SR3 IP BIO which turned out to be a defective 37-pin gender changer.

==== Plan for week of 8/6 ====
 * Mark, Enzo, Hirata-san, Fabian, Kozu-kun, Terrence, Panwei at Kamioka Mon-Fri.
 * Kozu-kun works at Mozumi Mon, Fri, and Thu afternoon.
==== Report for week of 10/8 ====
 * This was Panwei's last week (for now at least) - thanks for all the help!
 * Thanks also to Terrence for visiting again for the week.
Line 21: Line 10:
 * Finalize optic pitch, OSEM alignment.
 * Do TFs with temporary OL.
 * Install final OL.
 * Hook LBB, add ballast mass.
 * Tune IP.
 * Terrence and Mark finished setting up the LEN half of the OL (Simon had roughly placed the components). They ran a new cable for LEN in the cable tray and relaid the cable for TILT to get it off the floor.
 * Terrence worked on diagonalizing the LEN OL. A report is forthcoming.
===== SRM =====
 * Mark installed a pair of power supplies in the SRM and copied settings across to the SRM real-time model.
 * Fabian did lots of rack cabling, including installing and connecting BIO cards.
 * Mark and Hirata-san checked and adjusted the pitch of the BF (with a bubble level) and the IM/... section (with the OL.
 * Mark and Panwei installed the sides of the IRM and the IM OSEMs.
 * Hirata-san hung the dummy load from the F0 and started compressing the blade. There was a significant lateral offset (≈2-3 mm towards the blade at 5:30) at first but Takahashi-san advised that it would probably improve with compression, and it did.
 * Mark and Hirata-san cleared off most of two optical tables and a set of shelves in the OMMT area that Type B had been using but were now required by Somiya-san and Ohishi-san. We still need to remove the geophone and OSEM testing setups.
Line 28: Line 21:
 * Do vertical height budget.
 * Choose F0 keystone height.
 * Add estimated final ballast mass.
 * Do PI cable routing.
 * Adjust ballast/trim mass, with reserve for cables.
 * Stage LBB damper rings in tank.

 * Mark, Enzo and Hirata-san all inspected the lower section of the SR2 to see if there were any interference points that might explain some unexpected peaks in the TFs that weren't present before installation. There were no stops touching, but some TM OSEM cables were rubbing against each other. [??? Did the fix work?]
 * We removed the tank lid, and Enzo and Panwei inspected the cabling that had been done during Enzo's vacation and installed some new cables that had arrived. They also unlocked the IP.

==== Plan for week of 10/15 ====
 * Mark, Enzo, Hirata-san and Fabian at Kamioka Mon-Fri.
===== SR2 =====
 * Continue shakedown.
Line 36: Line 29:
 * Assemble metal mass.
 * Glue prisms, flags.
 * Reconfigure, align assembly frame.
 * Align IRM with IM.
 * Suspend/weigh/balance the BF/... section.
 * Build up the AF and SS to the SF level.
 * Install the SF.
