| * Type B Past Week Summary * Fabian took photos of the cleanroom in the ATC to help decide whether it is a good place to assemble PIs for Type A/B. * Hirata-san wiped one set each of wires for the BS and RM (addition sets pending). * Hirata-san washed remachined locking parts for the IM and screws for jacks. * Hirata-san liaised with Ikenoue-san of ATC to get winch parts designed for the new wire thicknesses. * Hirata-san worked on the Inventor 3D assembly of the SR2. * The scale for checking the masses of the IM parts was received. * Fabian and Hirata-san identified an issue with the lock screws between the IM and IRM. The screws were too tight in the holes and adjusting the size with a die caused large flakes of the black coating to come off. (These screws were ordered before the current screw policy was instituted.) === Type B (Mark) === ==== Past week report ==== * Hirata-san: * Worked on the PR optic removal jig. * Worked on getting modified quotes for PR/SR/BS parts. * Enzo-san * Worked on getting his drivers license. * Worked on getting familiar with the Type B circuit diagram. * Mark, Fabian (at Kamioka): * Tried different strategies for getting the IRM-IM EQ stops and IRM OSEMs to line up simultaneously. * Realized that the main problem was that the pitch of the BS had changed relative to the IM (presumably due to slight slippage of the wires) so the IM had to be pitched up by 16 mrad to get the BS pitched slightly down (4.7 mrad). * Took the sides off the IRM to get access to the clamps and tightened them to prevent further slips. * Rebalanced the IM to be level in pitch (and roll). * Reassembled the IRM and aligned the IRM-IM EQ stops - this time it was easy. * Adjusted the IRM and RM OSEMs to mid-range. * Got Kokeyama's new real-time model working and started TFs. ==== Plan for coming weeks ==== * Mark and Enzo come to Kamioka and work on rack and cabling. * Fabian works on design, including SR assembly frame. * Hirata-san works on procurement. |

- Mark, Fabian (at Kamioka):
- Tried different strategies for getting the IRM-IM EQ stops and IRM OSEMs to line up simultaneously.
