* Type B Past Week Summary * Mark * Updated the BS circuit diagram D1503600: * Added information on the binary IO. * Renamed channels to conform to Okutomi-kun's new scheme. * Made the ADC/DAC channel assignment consistent and more logical. * Updated the stepper motor sections with info about the new driver chassis. * Worked on schedule. * Updated the installation procedure with lessons learned from the last few weeks. * Downloaded Hirata-san's Inventor model of the BS in the tank and starting thinking about installation of the suspension and lower bread board. * Mark and Hirata-san worked on collecting parts and tools that will be needed for cabling of the BS next week. (11 special-purpose cables need to be made for the picos/steppers/OSEMs/LVDT on the RM/IRM/IM/BF and, time permitting, 2 more for the SF.) * Hirata-san * Updated the BS 3D Assembly with the new rods and receptacles. * Made 2D drawings of SR2 and SR3 (ongoing). * Made SRM 3D assembly (ongoing) * Asked for and got quotes for hexagon cable clamps. Takahashi-san ordered the PEEK components. Next week Hirata-san will look for parts that should already be at Kamioka. * Washed screws for hexagon cable clamps and shim rings for Fabian. |
* Activity report for week of 12/19 * Mark and Fabian checked Hirata-san's drawings and parts/fastener lists for the SRM/PRM order and various other drawings. D1605964, D1605965, D1605956, D1605963, etc. * Fabian designed a simple two-piece hold-down device to immobilize the SRx IMs during the optic and RM hanging. It avoids having to remachine all the IM support bars to allow for hold-down screws. The Type Bp team might also want to use it. * Aso-san and Mark discussed the BF issue from last week. * It was decided to ask Takahashi-san to take a look at the BF while he's at Kamioka this week. * It was decided to have the BS bottom filter moved to Mitaka for tuneup and adjustment as soon as possible in the new year. * Raffaele, Aso-san, Mark and Fabian discussed having much smaller/shorter BS and SR stub flags plus longer, coil-only OSEMs. * Aso-san volunteered to do the OSEM design. * Hirata-san made Pack'n'Go archives of the existing designs as a baseline for Aso-san. * Hirata-san searched for missing PR mirror box parts. * Miyakawa-san finished recabling the PR2 rack and got the real-time model running again. The model still needs lots of work, but it has the OSEM functionality needed for the next test-hang stage, plus Okutomi-san's improvements. |
