| * Type B Past Week Summary * Mark and Hirata-san at Mitaka * Gathered parts for cable making. * Mark and Hirata-san at Kamioka: * Replaced the floor panels that had been taken from the PR2 area (filling in the hole in the floor) and found/installed two new panels to act as bridges near the BS assembly frame. * Installed two more LPCDs and the stepper motor driver in the PR2 rack. * Ran cables from the rack to the second and third sat amps (for the IRM OSEMs). * Added a second DIO card in the rack and connected it to the BIO inputs and outputs of the new LPCDs. * Started making extension cables for RM-H2 and -H3 OSEMs but gave up due to complicated grounding arrangement. * Washed four 40-cm D-Sub-9 ribbon cables to use as temporary extensions (maybe also for H1/H4). * Added extension to the IM pico cable for the BF yaw pico. * Made LVDT adapter cable. * Mark worked on schedule. |
=== Type B (Mark) === ==== Past week report ==== * Hirata-san: * Worked on the PR optic removal jig. * Worked on getting modified quotes for PR/SR/BS parts. * Enzo-san * Worked on getting his drivers license. * Worked on getting familiar with the Type B circuit diagram. * Mark, Fabian (at Kamioka): * Tried different strategies for getting the IRM-IM EQ stops and IRM OSEMs to line up simultaneously. * Realized that the main problem was that the pitch of the BS had changed relative to the IM (presumably due to slight slippage of the wires) so the IM had to be pitched up by 16 mrad to get the BS pitched slightly down (4.7 mrad). * Took the sides off the IRM to get access to the clamps and tightened them to prevent further slips. * Rebalanced the IM to be level in pitch (and roll). * Reassembled the IRM and aligned the IRM-IM EQ stops - this time it was easy. * Adjusted the IRM and RM OSEMs to mid-range. * Got Kokeyama's new real-time model working and started TFs. ==== Plan for coming weeks ==== * Mark and Enzo come to Kamioka and work on rack and cabling. * Fabian works on design, including SR assembly frame. * Hirata-san works on procurement. |
