Facilities

  • Remove cling wrap from stuff.
  • Plug stuff back in (charging station, KOACH filters, OL etc).
  • Power up rack.

Main Assembly

  • Remove crossbars below BF and SF.
  • Set SF damper to 4 mm clearance.
  • Find wrenches for vacuum tank jacks (41 mm and possibly 75 mm).
  • Adjust jacks to nominal height.
  • Do up all EQ stops etc (except SF).
  • Remove geophones (temporarily, for craning).
  • Crane suspension into tank.
  • Hook LBB Cu ring.
  • Hook LBB.
  • Crane vacuum tank lid+ring back on.
  • Remove vacuum tank lid (only) and store on pallet.
  • Add ballast to LBB.
  • Replace geophones.
  • Unlock all but IP and check pendulum is centered in security structure. Adjust with jacks.
  • Unlock IP and adjust to center with jacks.

Electronics

  • Disconnect in-vacuum and in-air cabling from feedthroughs (label in-vacuum ones).
  • Remove port covers where feedthroughs will go, move feedthroughs from assembly frame and install on vacuum tank ring.
  • Reconnect in-vacuum cabling.
  • Adjust in-air cabling to match 135° rotation of BS.
  • Reconnect in-air cables. (all but 4)

2017-06-12

Main Assembly

  • Check pitch/roll of SF and adjust trim as required.
  • Prepare LBB.
    • Attach LBB outriggers and rod receptacles.
  • Prepare LBB Cu ring.
    • Remove from tank, fix incompletely threaded holes, reinstall in tank.
    • Lay down spacers to protect magnets (in next step).
  • Prepare LBB magnet ring.
    • Disassemble.
    • Pass pieces into tank.
    • Reassemble on top of Cu ring.
  • Install LBB damper.
    • Bind LBB damper rings together with slings.
    • Remove vacuum tank lid and ring.
    • Crane rings up to install height, hook LBB magnet ring and support LBB Cu ring by TBD method.

Electronics

  • Cable and test PI yaw stepper.
  • Cable and test PI vertical stepper.
  • Cable and test PI horizontal steppers.
  • Cable and test PI horizontal LVDTs.
  • Finalize OSEM cable lengths and update D1503600, E1503091 and Sato-san's spreadsheet.
  • Recount cables in box and in test hang, and update Sato-san's spreadsheet.

  • Secure arc weights with M8 nuts.
  • Remove PI.
  • Unjam PI-SF rod.
  • Remove SF cap.
  • Remove blades from LBB blade units and send off for rework.
  • Install remaining cable clamps on PI.
  • Remove one Cu damper segment from SF cap and reconfigure remaining two to be symmetrical.
  • Decide pattern of SF damper ring magnets (72 pieces in 2/3 of the original ring).
  • Install magnets on SF damper ring.

  • Make PI vertical/yaw stepper in-air adapter cable per E1503600-v13 Sheet 7.

PI Move

  • General prep
    • Decide if air shower needs to be moved.
    • Triple-check dimensions around second-floor parking spot for PI; decide best place for pallet.
    • Check for obstacles along path around -X side of cleanbooth.
    • Find/clean Saito-sensei's PI lifting adapter and any needed fasteners.
    • Check both crane remote controls (clean and dirty) are charged.
  • Prepare PI for moving.
    • Remove accelerometers and store safely.
    • Remove large weights. (How? With forklift at last minute? Where to?)
    • Remove arc weights (move some to second floor, wrap rest for storage).
    • Attach lifting plates.
    • Wrap with clingwrap, cover with spare cleanbag.
    • Remove old cabling from PI to rack.
  • Prepare second floor for receiving PI.
    • Clean and clingwrap pallet.
    • Find metal plates and/or duckboards for on top of pallets.
    • Move BS cables on -Y side of tank off top of beam.
    • Find shims (about 75 mm high) to put on beam where cables were, to help support pallet.
  • Clear path to remove PI with forklift.
    • Move any obstacles identified previously.
    • Shutdown BS/PR2 racks and move electrical cables.
    • Move any stored items on -Y side of portable cleanroom.
    • Move portable cleanroom towards -Y.
    • Move worktables from next to BS/PR2 racks.
  • Move PI
    • Disconnect fan cables, curtain (Miyoki-san).
    • Unzip ceiling panel.
    • Crane pallet into cleanbooth.
    • Lay foil on pallet.
    • Forklift PI to -X,+Y corner of cleanbooth
    • Crane PI into clean booth.
  • Cleanup
    • Zip up ceiling panel.
    • Reconnect fan cables, curtain (Miyoki-san).
    • Replace tables near BS/PR2 racks
    • Move portable cleanroom back to original spot.
    • Re-lay electrical cables.
    • Power up racks.

  • Make more anti-feedthrough adapters.

Real-time and SUMCON models (mostly Perry, Mark)

  • Reroute in-vacuum cables up to SF level; add in-vacuum extension cables if necessary.
  • Get Perry (and Enzo) set up with SUMCON.
  • Update SUMCON model of full BS.
  • Do cut-down SUMCON model of just payload hanging from fixed BS.
  • Compare measured TFs to cut-down model(s).
