iKAGRA ETM suspension

  • Uninstallation Schedule (Ohishi)

  • What are necessary in the next few weeks ?
    • We need to count the number of necessary circuits for Type-A and Type-Bp, so that we can tell AEL the total number necessary for VIS.

bKAGRA preparation

Common Issues

  • OSEM modification
    • Do we need wide OSEMs for IMs ? -> Yes

      • Akutsu is asking for a quote to a company for the required parts.
      • For BS test hanging, we need the wider version by mid-to-late June.
  • Length sensing OpLev

    • in order to test this with the BS test haning, we want to have wide OSEMs as witness sensors on the mirror.
    • Stab-flag, flag-with-tip are in quotation. The gluing jigs will be the same.
  • What shall we do with PR2
    • PR2 has only folding OpLev

      • Check the configuration (Raffaele, Akutsu)
    • Original idea: Put a reflecting mirror on the bread board and monitor the rotation of the bread board with another OpLev.

    • Another idea: Introduce the light with a fiber into the vacuum chamber to form a one-way 45deg. OpLev for length sensing.

    • Will continue to discuss the configuration.
  • Suspended bread board
    • Many critical components will be installed on it (baffles, steering mirrors for the green injection etc)
    • We have to make sure that the bread board suspension is properly damped
    • Takahashi will check Sekiguchi-kun's calculations and see if we can estimate the damping force of the bread board damper -> Looks like we can.

Type A

  • Task list (Takahashi)

  • Doing the TF+IP assembly and control test in Mitaka ?
    • The clean booths for EXV and EYV will be completed by the end of September. The pre-isolators will be assembled in the clean booth from October.
      • Necessary time for the mechanical assembly and cabling is short (Joris alone was able to finish it in 1 week in the mine).
      • We cannot load the pre-isolator with the final weight (too much to be put on the pre-isolator). Therefore, the tests to be done with the assembled pre-isolator is a basic check of the sensor and actuators. Even if we pre-assemble the system in Mitaka, we need to do this check in Kamioka again.
      • In the end, the gain in time by doing the assembly in Mitaka does not seem justifiable.
  • The next Type-A meeting will be on 5/12.
  • Prototype test
    • Presented a plan at the Type-A meeting.
    • More detail is under discussion (Takahashi, Okutomi).
    • TAMA west end chamber is now being considered as the test site.
  • The test of prototype long maraging rod was finished
    • Will order them with maraging rods for the cryogenic payload early July. The lead time is 2 months.

Type-Bp modification

  • Traverser motor driver (Shoda)
    • Need a box for stepping motor driver. Miyakawa-san is thinking about ordering chassis and boxes for motors. We discussed and agreed that the design of the boxes will be unified. The boxes will be designed and ordered together with those. (16/03/10)
    • Miyakawa-san received the Traverser motor driver.
      • -> Decided the Traverser motor driver as it is because the wiring is too complecated for the mass production, but we need only 3 Traverser motor drivers.

      • -> We will keep the current design.

  • Modification for bKAGRA
