Agenda/Minutes of the VIS Meeting on 2016/9/9

2016/9/9 13:30 - @ Room 210

Participants: Hirata, Takahashi, Raffaele, Mark, Ishizaki, Tanaka, Shoda, Sato, Aso, Fabian, Ohishi, Akutsu

Progress report

Schedule Chart (PDF,MPP)

Type-A (Takahashi)

  • Minutes of Type-A Meeting

  • EQ stop, release sensor, dummy payload: Procurement is in the bidding process. Open bidding is on 13th.
  • Bottom Filter: Assembly of BFs was started on 7th.: target date for finish = the end of Sept. for two Type-A BF.
  • BF damper: Design of the support was updated. Test of LVDT prototype is on going.
    • Sensing noise measurements: 1e-8 m/rtHz
    • Actuator performance check needs to be done: finish by 9/16 (Okutomi)
    • Sensor coupling measurements is also necessary.
  • Maraging wire: ATC people calculated the stress concentration. Tensile test is in preparation.
  • Tool for installation: 1.5t chain block is in consideration. Stainless steel plate is necessary on the fine floor.

Type-B (Mark)

Discussions

  • BS clean booth crane problem: the cross-bar will be cut on Sept. 20 - 21.
  • IM, TM flags and some parts for the gluing jigs will be ordered separately.
    • IM flag design is almost ready (Mark is checking)
    • TM flag and jig design will be done by Mark (drawing by Hirata)
    • TM flags are necessary in November.
    • Will order by the beginning of October.

Type B Past Week Summary

  • Fabian, Mark, Yokogawa-kun and Kuwahara-kun did BS installation at Kamioka:
    • Calculated BS pitch correction (JGW-T1605630)

    • Hung dummy optic and set pitch.
    • Prepared RM for hanging (adding OSEMs etc). One OSEM (#24) had wobbly leads and was brought back to Mitaka for rework.
    • Placed vacuum feedthroughs on assembly frame and cleaned initial batch (4) of D-Sub cables.
    • Decided position of BS rack with Miyakawa-san.
    • Measured various maraging rods and the rod holders on the SF.
    • Placed safety rails, rearranged floor panels, cleaned new floor panels, and otherwise improved safety.
  • Hirata-san:
    • Made new 3D models of the maraging rods for PRx and SRx
    • Made new collet design for PRx and SRx (3D and 2D).
    • Made new IM flag design for PRx and SRx (3D and 2D).
    • Washed lots of Type A BF parts and OSEM parts.
    • Cleaned the BS BF-IM maraging rod and organized the rest of the stock of rods.
    • Measured some BF part dimensions.
    • Pre-assembled parts for BFs.
  • Type B ongoing issues
  • Longer term to-do list
    • Do Inventor assembly for SR2 in chamber and on assembly frame (Hirata) - NEARLY DONE.
      • Part "disk security" top has to be modified - screw positions do not match.
    • Write more of payload assembly procedure (Fabian) - ONGOING
    • Write more of BS Assembly Procedure E1504235, E1504235 draft (Mark) - ONGOING

    • Lower breadboard installation to be incorporated into the procedure document.
    • Work on BS simulation (Fabian)
    • Do BS Simulink model (Mark, Kokeyama)
    • Do 2D drawings of SR2 parts (Hirata)
    • Redesign SRx IM wire clamps for larger prisms, remachined RMs
    • Order SRM/PRM parts (Hirata/Shoda)
    • Order SRx fasteners (Hirata)

Type-Bp (Shoda)

  • Modification
    • The design is basically fixed. Checking is ongoing. (Saito, Shoda)
    • The structural analysis by Obuchi-san is being summarized. (Shoda)
    • The 1st cost estimation is sent from a company. Our order will be a open quotation.(Shoda)
    • Specsheet is almost ready (except for the updates on the parts list). (Shoda)
    • We will ask the cost estimate again with the additional parts and the proper form. (Shoda)
      • IM flags, IM ballast masses, and correts will be ordered together with the modification parts.
  • Additional ordering for PRs.
    • additional masses for BF: the old IM ballast masses can be used for the BF additional mass. Because of the lot of ambiguity in BF weight, we will just use the old IM ballst masses for the BF additional masses (at least for the test hanging).
    • 1st wire breakers seem to be at Kashiwa now. Shoda will look for them on 12th.
    • Hirata-san updated the design of the IM flags, which will be ordered together with the modifiaction parts.
  • Rods
    • details of the rods are sent to Takahashi-san via e-mail.
    • Shoda asked Mirapro to analyse the suspension rods for OB. I am now asked to provide further information.
  • A/I

    • Preparing for the order (Checking 2D drawings, Finish the structural analysis summary.) (Saito, Shoda)
    • Making the design document (Shoda, Fujii)

IMMT (Ohishi)

  • Put a report here

Watchdog system (Tanaka)

  • Conference material(The results of the analysis in SPICE).PDF

Safety

  • One of the students cut a finger when cleaning the floor panels. -> use safety gloves.

    • The first-aid-kit was not in the expected location. -> Moved to near the AED.

  • Kitazawa-san hit a pressure gauge near the MC and broke it.

Discussion

  • Insufficient strength of the maraging rods
