2017/2/10 13:30 -

Participants: Mark, Shoda, Ishizaki, Sato, Okutomi, Aso, Takahashi, Ohishi, Hirata, Fabian, Enzo, Fujii, Tanaka

Progress report

Schedule Chart : (PDF,MPP)

  • Type-A: Mostly on schedule
  • Type-B: 1 week delay
  • Type-Bp: On schedule now, but expect to have one week delay in the next week.

Type-A (Takahashi)

Past week report

  • Minutes of Type-A Meeting

  • Installation in Y-end
    • 7(Tue): Assembled the dummy payload and the EQ stop for it. Pre-assembled BF damper. Assembled the EQ stop for BF.
    • 8(Wed): Assembled the BF. Measured the weight of BF (105.7kg).
    • 9(Thu): Installed the dummy payload and the BF with athe EQ stop into the top chamber.
  • Maraging wire: The wires after aging were delivered on 7th. The 3.3m wire will be treated at Himeji facility of Kinzoku-giken.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Install the protection net ring.
  • Tune the weight of dummy payload.
  • Assemble the BF damper with the support ring.
  • Lift down the dummy payload.
  • Set the EQ stop for F3.

Type B (Mark)

Past week report

  • Hirata-san:
    • Did drawings of SR damper.
  • Mark, Fabian, Enzo and Hirata-san (at Kamioka):
    • Took the end plate off the IM to get access to the pitch/roll picos.
    • Found the pitch pico was unreliable and replaced it.
    • Found the springs were not stiff enough, and immobilized 7 turns at the end of each with Cu wire to make them stiffer.
    • Reassembled and rebalanced the IM.
    • Reassembled and adjusted the IRM.
    • Discovered that the transverse offset between IRM and IM could be corrected by adjusting the roll of the BF.
    • Adjusted IM OSEMs to half-way.
    • Made and installed a new pair of wires for the BF yaw pico on the IM pico adapter (Hirata-san).
    • Installed an improved LVDT cable made by Hirata-san.
    • Made and hung posters for the Elites meeting visitors.==== Plan for coming weeks ====

Plan for coming weeks

  • Enzo to stay in Mitaka and concentrate on getting drivers' license
  • Mark and Fabian to come to Kamioka and finish adjusting OSEMs and take TFs.
  • Assorted procedure writing and design tasks (SR frame etc)

Discussion

  • Omit detailed TF measurements to expedite the work

Type-Bp (Shoda)

Past week report

  • Main suspension
    • Active damping for IM are implemented.
    • BF FR was tested with the new driver chassis.
    • BF GAS LVDT was calibrated by inserting 1 mm sims.
    • New BF LVDTs are assembled.
    • BF cap, BFRM, and the EQ stop parts bewlo the SF are assembled.
      • The BFRM is now sitting on the spacer attached on the BF.
    • Note: the company delivered other coated screws for the screws which we assigned as SDC with a vent hole. Be careful.
  • Optical bench suspension
    • Optical bench installation jigs, wire adapters for the optical bench, and optical bench suspension rods are assembled.
    • The OB installation jigs was tested a little.
  • Others
    • The temporally clean booth was cleaned and the floor sheet will be changed.
    • The EQ stop bars below the IM did not seem to be dirty now. -> Only old aluminum parts should be re-made.

    • BFRM suspension rods are delivered -> 2nd assembly test at Mitaka?

Plan for coming weeks

  • Optical bench suspension test.
    • Assemble magnets on the OB Damper
    • Suspend the OB damper, OB intermediate mass, and OB for the test.

Discussion

  • The support jig for the optical bench installation
    • The structure seems OK for supporting the damper ring. Try carefully in the next week's test assembly. Ask Shindo-san to help the work.
    • For extra safety, improved support jig will be ordered to Mirapro (Shoda)
  • Oxidized(?) aluminum parts
    • Type-Bp team will inspect the stored ones to see if we need to re-make them or not.

IMMT (Ohishi)

Past week report

Looking for jig parts http://klog.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/osl/?r=2439

Plan for coming weeks

Watchdog system (Tanaka)

Past week report

*PCB design for interface connecting WSD and host system (digital system for KAGRA). This box(19' Rack 1U box) is for communicating the state of WDS to the host system and remotely controlling the return from shutdown from the host system.

Plan for coming weeks

Safety

  • Incidents:
  • Foreseen risks
    • Type-A: Crane works. Be careful not to drop things.
    • Type-B: no dangerous work foreseen
    • Type-Bp: Optical bench installation work needs to be done carefully.

Discussion

  • Disassembly procedure proposal (Shoda) document

    • It is better to avoid the flipping of the RM+TM.
    • A better procedure was found during the discussion at the meeting.
    • Hirata-san will design necessary jigs for this procedure in the next week.
