Past week report

[X-end]

• Recovered the black out.
• Checked signals for the BF damper.
• Set the remote operation of the stepping motors.
• Closed the top chamber.
• Closed the cross tube.
• Set the remote monitor of the vacuum gauge.

[Mitaka]

• Assembled the BFs. One BF was completed. The other was assembled by a half.
• Checked the ACCs. Two of six units have a problem.

Plan for coming weeks

• Start evacuation in X-end.
• Finish the assembly of BFs.
• Service the ACCs.

[Plan in November]

• 11/6-10 X-end: Disassembly of the EQ stop and the cabling.
• 11/13-17 Transportation of the items from Akeno and Mitaka to the 2F in KAGRA.
• 11/20-12/1 X-end: Reassembly of the EQ stop and the cabling.

Type B (Mark)

Past week report

At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Hirata-san):

• Hirata-san did an inventory of SR and other parts at Kamioka.
• Mark and Enzo finalized the geometry matrices for the IP, entered them in MEDM and updated the safe.snap.
• Mark, Enzo and Fabian worked with Izumi-san et al. to align the BS. We got the +Y beam fairly close to aligned (to the second gate valve, near IY).

Kamioka: Mark and Enzo

• Continue alignment of BS.
• Realign OL.
• Work on servos.

Mitaka: Fabian and Hirata-san

• SR procurement.
• New PI GAS FR design.
• BS LBB ballast mass design.
• SR cable lamp design.

Type-Bp (Shoda)

Past week report

• We had a big problem on k1pr0 after the blackout.
• PR2 recovered smoothly.
• Now PR3 is recovered after several problems.
  • TFs are checked. The suspension status looks good.
• Problems to be solved:
  • large noise in PR2 OSEMs.
  • TF gain decrease by 30dB (Pr3 BF GAS)

Past week report

• Creation of extended I/O PCB plot type (With the Main 4ch WDS box and I/O box,I/O board For relay).-->

  • Wiring and Testing for EX I/O box(19 inch chassis) were completed.
  • Connection test with WDS and digital I/O card's emulation tool.

• I held a meeting to make estimates with several vendors.-->

  • I got an estimate from the vendor(Denseisirius).
  • About 5.3 million yen.

• Request for fabrication of JGW-D1605239(Binary IO Converter Chassis) for use with WDS(JGW-T1707285(docx)).-->Wait for results.

Plan for coming weeks

• Execution of the final version operation test for mass production ->Detailed exam(Ongoing).

• I want to start ordering mass production version.

• I'd like to conduct the final exam in KAGRA.-->On the experiment plan at the KAGRA site of the WDS systemJGW-E1706737(PDF).

  • Experiments in phase 2 and phase 3(However,only one 4ch WDS main box is to be tested).
  • The target is a Low power type.
  • My desired test period is from 7th Nov to 9th Nov(6th Nov is move date and 10th Nov is preparation day).

Other site works

• Fire drill: Nov. 16 from 11AM - 12AM
• Commissioning Workshop: Nov. 27 to Dec. 1st
