Past week report

[X-front]

• Finished the cabling between the BF and F3.
• Tuned the F3 again with hanging the F3 by crane.
• Final optimal load was additionally 1.2kg at 0.25Hz.
• Removed the primary coils for the BF damper.
• Checked cable connections and repaired some disconnections.
• Started the installation of F2. Assembled the FR in the F2.

Plan for coming weeks

[X-front]

• Measure the transfer functions of the BF and the F3.
• Lift down the BF into the corrugate tube.
• Extend the EQ stop for the F2.

[X-end]

• Vent the chamber on 5th.
• Remove the DP on 6th.
• Install the maraging wire for Cryo-payload with cables on 7th.

Type B (Mark)

Report for week of 2/26

• We routed all the cables from the BF level up via the flying saucer to the SF.
• Hirata-san tried filing the SF cap to improve the fit, but without much success.
• Hirata-san installed the Cu segments and cable clamps on the SF cap and the SF LVDT and FR cables.
• We cabled and tested the BF cap picos and the SF LVDT and FR. (The LVDT still needs a full calibration.)
• We worked on recovering the IM OSEM alignment.

• Hirata-san vacation Mon 3/5, then Kamioka

• Remove LBB temporary ballast masses from BS chamber.

• Finish recovering IM OSEM alignment.
• Calibrate SF LVDT.
• Lift SF/... section and check total mass and balance.

• Set up for rebuilding of two BFs.

Past week report

• Takahashi-san, Aso-san, Ohishi-san, and Miyo-kun checked the suspension height. But the height was not much changed. So SF weight was not changed. I checked the LVDT trend since the installation. There are some jumps after data taking errors, including blackouts. Details will be uploaded to klog later.
• I prepared IP stepping motor med scripts. Actuation check is required.
• PRM guardian has an error that I could not solve.

• Preparation for assembly of mass products.-->Ongoing.

• Adjustment and approval to vendors(Implementation adjustments and approvals for circuit boards.)-->

  • Operation test of the initial product is completed. And I ordered the production of the residual mass-produced products.-->Pending delivery.

• 3/12 - Center area: preparation for pump down: connecting ducts.

Vacuum flange status

• BS
  • Top flange: O-ring inside, but covered with mending tapes (not vacuum compatible)
  • Small service flanges in the bottom section near the top flange (2 of them): Opened once. Not tightened. Maybe no O-ring.
  • Feed through flanges: Metal gaskets inside. Not tightened.
  • A blank flange in place of a feed through flange: Maybe no O-ring. Not tightened.
• PRM
  • Top flange: No O-ring
  • Feedthrough flanges: Metal gaskets inside. Not tightened.
• PR2/PR3
  • Top flange: O-ring inside. Not tightened. To be tightened by Futaba in the week of Mar. 5th.
  • Feedthrough flanges: Metal gaskets inside. Not tightened.

Other preparations

• Securing cables
  • D-sub connectors on the PR chambers are not fixed by screws
  • Type-B team has about 150 pairs of the screws
  • Type-B team will put screws for PR2 chamber in the next week
  • Need to assign someone for PR3/M

• OpLev monitoring

  • Aso will work with Shoda to implement Guardian alert system to send notifications when OpLev is kicked.

  • PRM guardian is not running now. Aso will talk with Kokeyama and Yamamoto.
• Drift monitoring of the suspensions during pump down
  • A strip tool should be prepared to show the drift trend
• Wiping inside the chambers

Phase 1 operation measurements

• We need to clarify:
  • Minimum success criteria for each measurement
