Agenda/Minutes of the VIS Meeting on 2018/6/8

2018/6/8 13:30 - 14:15

Zoom Meeting

Participants: Mark, Enzo, Aso, Hirata, Shoda, Ishizaki, Fujii, Kozu, Tanaka

Progress report

Schedule Chart

Type-A : (PDF/MPP)

Type-B: (PDF/MPP)

Type-A (Takahashi)

Past week report

[X-end]

  • Opened the chamber.
  • The horizontal primary coil of BF damper was touching the secondary coil.
  • The F1 damper was touching the Cu plate on F1. The height of F1 damper was increased by 6mm.
  • The actuator coil for F0 was broken. The break point is in the winding part.
  • Adjusted the height of cryo-payload. During the adjustment, the F2 went to the unstable point. The height of BF was set in 76.5mm.
  • Closed the chamber, and started evacuation on 8th.

[X-front]

  • Replaced the blades for TF. The six new blades were mounted.
  • Released the keystone. The height of keystone was still too low without the magic wand.

[Y-front]

  • Added the CuBe blade to the BF.

  • Rearranged the cabling in the BF.
  • Relocated the connector plates on the cup of BF.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Install the BF. Tune the BF
  • Go to the F3 stage.
  • Tune the TF in X-front.

Type B (Mark)

Report for week of 5/28

  • Enzo and Mark debugged the BS BIO connections and finally got it working. There were a total of four issues identified:
    • A wrong block used in the BS real-time model.
    • The real-time model deciding to treat the cards as numbered backwards from the slot order or the jumper settings.
    • Two unlabeled cables that may have been swapped.
    • The GAS coil driver and associated cables had been labeled HPCD #1 whereas it had been #0 in the diagram.
  • Hirata-san and Kozu-kun received the final F0 blades, characterized 6 of them and, with help from Takahashi-san, installed a matched set of 3 into PI #3. It appears to be 6 kg short of the load capacity that was targeted, but still with 4 kg of margin. It is close to having a good frequency but needs another round of tuning.
  • Mark and Terrence fixed an issue with the security structure - due to a screenshot of the CAD not updated from the BS procedure to the SR one, the BF ring had been placed 180° off in yaw. We suspended the BF from the load gauge adapter, reconfigured the BF jacks to support the ring instead of the BF, and rotated the ring. Mark corrected the procedure.
  • We craned in the SF and set the position and yaw.
  • We installed the SF-BF flying saucer and rod.
  • Calculated the noise budget in pitch angular fluctuation. Compared with the actual spectra, it looks quite consistent. (calculation and actual spectra). The same calculation will be done for PRs as well.

Plan for week of 6/11

  • Mark Enzo, Hirata-san, Kozu-kun, Terrence at Kamioka Tue-Fri (Mon is compensation day for f2f.)
  • --
  • Route cables through SF-BF flying saucer up to bottom of SF.
  • Add minimal ballast mass to SF (rough balance only) and weigh SF/... section.
  • Adjust BF trim mass.
  • Readjust payload.
  • Take TFs.
  • Cable, test SF LVDT and FR.
  • Add calculated ballast to SF.
  • Finish tuning F0 #3 for SR3.
  • Park F0 #1 (for SR2) in top of SR3 assembly frame.
  • Move F0 #3 behind SR3.
  • Move F0 #1 to "factory" area (in front of SRM) and start rebuild.

Plan for week of 6/18

  • Mark Enzo, Hirata-san, Kozu-kun, Terrence at Kamioka Mon-Fri.
  • --
  • Install PI.
  • Suspend SF/... section.
  • Lots of cabling.

To-Do Lists, Schedule

Plan for coming weeks

Type-Bp (Shoda)

Past week report

PR3

  • There was not DAC output since 6/3. After rebooting k1pro0, it was fixed.

PR2

  • Some of BF LVDT had wrong polarity. They are fixed. It may happen when we released the SF GAS keystone.
  • One of the IM coil drivers and GAS coil driver seems to be tripped. But no BIO signal is coming. Needs to be fixed.

OMMT & OSTM (Ohishi)

Past week report

Plan for coming weeks

LVDT Driver (Tanaka)

Past week report

  • Delivery of parts(7915,7815) --> (6/6)

  • I responded by exchanging abnormal parts of the power regulator U31(-15V 7915) and the line drivers U25,U30 and U29(THAT1646).

Plan for coming weeks

  • I am working on designing and researching them.
