I diagonalized the ASC degrees of freedom of the beam splitter using the oplev as a first approximation (klog entry 11165). When the wafefront sensor becomes available we will do it again.

  • Only low frequencies were considered. Actually I used DC offsets.
  • After the correction, between angular degrees of freedom we achieved 2% coupling when checking with offsets and there was no coherence with length when briefly checking with transfer functions.
  • Because the coherence decreased at low frequecies after the correction if we want to further reduce the coupling at low frequencies we need to actuate with a line rather than with white noise.
  • It's still necessary to measure the whole set of crossed transfer functions.

Plan for coming weeks

  • As pointed out above, measure crossed transfer function in the BS.
  • Do the same with SR suspensions beginning with SRM.

OMMT & OSTM (Takahashi)

Past week report

  • Assembled the new OSTM suspension using the dummy mirror. At the first time, suspension length was too long by 1cm. It was corrected.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Test of the OSTM suspension is planed in the week of 11/4.
