Overview
An OPO inside the detuned signal recycling cavity amplifies phase modulation signal sidebands that are sent back to the arm cavities to drive the test masses via the radiation pressure. This intracavity technique changes the dynamics of the interferometer and can improve the sensitivity at frequencies higher than the observation band of the conventional broadband detectors.
