From abroad to Tokyo or Osaka

You will arrive at Narita International Airport (NRT, English) or Kansai International Airport (KIX, English). If you choose Narita (Tokyo), you will go to Toyama by train of airplane. If Kansai (Osaka), you will go to Toyama by train.

  • After you arrive at Narita (Tokyo),
    • if you adopt train for Toyama, you are going to center of Tokyo. There are two stations in Narita airport (Narita Airport station (Terminal 1) and Airport terminal 2 station). At both the stations, you can take Narita Express (JR line, about 1 hour (2940Yen) to Tokyo station,English) or Skyliner (Keisei-line, about 40 minutes (2400 Yen) to Keisei Ueno station which is near JR Ueno station, English)

    • if you adopt airplane for Toyama, you are going Haneda airport (unfortunately, there is NO DIRECT flight between Narita and Toyama). From Tokyo to Toyama

  • By train: You take Joetsu Shinkansen at JR Tokyo or JR Ueno station. At Echigoyuzawa, you transfer to Special Express Hakutaka. It arrives at Toyama station. In total, it takes about 3.5 hours (10740Yen).
  • By air plane: Only ANA (English) manages the flight between Haneda (Tokyo) and Toyama.

If you would like to be sure that staffs can speak English ...

  • ANA Crowne Plaza Toyama (Japanese,English). It is slightly far from Toyama station (15 minutes on foot).
