Outline of the meeting

  • The 23rd F2F meeting will be held at University of Toyama, as usual as our summer event. We will discuss both our latest achievements and our managements.
    • LOC: Moriwaki-san and Yamamoto(Yamagen)-san.

    • We welcome contribution talks and poster presentations (with short talk). We will give "Poster Award" for two students by vote.

    • Registration is not yet started. Be patient.

  • Invited Speaker: xxxx (xxxx)

  • This is a closed meeting of the KAGRA collaboration.
    • If you are a member of the KAGRA collaboration and have recently moved to a new place: Contact the KSC board. You will be requested to make an introduction of your new laboratory at the meeting.
    • If you want to join the KAGRA collaboration: Contact the KSC board. You are supposed to make a presentation on your proposal at the meeting.

timeline

  • By the end of June: KSC board accepts your proposals and/or suggestions of the sessions, satellite meetings, style of the meetings, or any other requests.
  • July 1: Visa document request deadline.

  • mid July: registration will start.
  • August 8: registration will close.

Visa, Invitation Letter

  • If you don’t need visa, but you need only an invitation letter, please send an email to KSC board chair,

  • If you need visa to enter Japan, please fill the following document (Word,PDF), and send it to Masafumi Kurachi by July 1st, 2019.

    • You can find the detailed procedure to apply VISA at the web site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan https://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html

    • Note that you can not apply for VISA only with the invitation letter. You have to submit special documents for VISA which are prepared by Japanese side.
    • Even if you ask ICRR for an invitation letter with an institute stamp, we can not provide it. We can provide an invitation letter without an institute stamp, and a working proof for one of professors.

Travel Support (oversea)

  • Core to Core program can support your local expense if you belong to an institute/university in Korea, China, Taiwan, Vietnam or India. Firstly, please contact to a cordinator of C2C in your country.
  • Cordinator's list is in http://www.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/gr/GWPOHPe/collabo-e.html.

Travel Support (domestic)

  • Core-to-Core program also can support domestic travel expenses for several KAGRA collaborators who belong to institutes/universities in Japan and who will attend F2F@U-Toyama and give presentations. Graduate students and postdoc researchers have priorities for this support.
  • If you are a student, please consult with your supervisor and ask him/her to contact Miyoki-san and Kikuchi-san

Access

  • From Tokyo, one can either take JR Hokuriku-Shinkansen express (train, 2h10m) or fly from the Tokyo-Haneda airport (55min).
  • From the Toyama airport, one can take a bus to the Toyama station (410 JPY).
  • From the Toyama station to the university, one can take a tram to "Daigaku-mae" (Note that there is also a loop tram that does not go to Daigaku-mae).
