Today's activities

Workers: Akutsu, Simon, Miyo, Hasegawa, T. Yamamoto with helps by Miyamoto

  • Continued cabling outside of the clean booth (Yamamoto, Miyo, Simon)
  • Installed an oplev viewport in the -X-Y direction (Hasegawa)
  • Practiced to connect a burndy receptacle terminal to an electric wire AWG36 (Akutsu); in the afternoon Miyamoto showed us his well-trained technique. Thanks!
  • With all above, connected a thermometer in the cryostat to a cryocon outside of the clean booth; now the temperature can be read from the cryocon even via network!
    • Miyo just tried to heat up the thermometer by his temperature and it worked (?).
  • Installed the digital system; connected an oplev in the booth, and now the signal can be read via the digital system.
    • Note that the pylons are still not rigidly fixed on the floor; don't forget it.
  • [Ongoing] Need cares of water springs from anchor bolts for oplev pylons.

  • [Ongoing] Need to confirm what are the scratch lines made by the measurement by the KEK team last week.

Next plan

  • Set up thermometers; especially their pins.
  • Set up oplev to check how the damping would be now after the replacement of the damping magnets.
  • Check the reproducibility of the alignment of the suspension among several modes.
  • Prepare calibration of photosensors.
  • Connect burndy pins to the heaters??
  • Check heights of several points.
  • Wash the coil in ethanol at Univ. of Toyama...?
  • Take care of water spring??

Wanted!

  • A tweezer.
  • Stages outside the chamber to ease wiping our legs.

  • Good rail(?) to move the WAB suspension in the cryostat in the main beam direction.

  • Chain block? to support the load in the chamber.

  • Cutters and scissors!!
  • A clock to know the time easily.
  • A fiber cleaner to connect oplev source parts; need to get back from Yend.

  • M6 screw set.
