 * Replaced a tentative breadboard supporting photosensors, a coil, and a burndy connector with a small but vacuum compatible one; see [[http://klog.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/osl/?r=4292|here]].

Today's activities

Workers: Simon, Akutsu

  • Measured the current distance from the reflector to each photosensor head; X~18mm, Y~16.5mm, Z~17mm.
  • Re-screwed M8 bolts of the heat-link anchor block to the cryo-head with M8 washers and spring washers; tighten.
  • Picked a thermometer with Akutsu's gloved hand to check the difference of heat touching of the thermometer.
    • When I picked it during it was attached to the WAB suspension's top, the temperature rise was very small (quantitative report should be here).

    • Then I detached the thermometer after waiting for the unpicked temperature got back, and picked it again and find the temperature rising was very drastic (quantitative report should be here, again)

    • Then I again attached it carefully, and checked the temperature rising, and this time the rise ratio was actually small (again.....)

  • Re-centered the oplev.
  • Miyo-kun started to re-assign the matrix from PS1, PS2, and PS3 to X, Y, and Z.
    • Should be reported later

    • This re-assign will (ex)change the channel names; to call back the past data, you need to know what was the channel name at that time... In other words, the name change won't change the past ch names!

  • [Ongoing] Need cares of water springs from anchor bolts for oplev pylons.

  • [Ongoing] Need to confirm what are the scratch lines made by the measurement by the KEK team last week.

Next plan

  • Complete the PS calibration.
  • Complete the calibration of the oplev; the arm length was reported by Simon, so....
  • Complete the signal matrix.
  • Lower the position of the WAB for cooling down.
  • Make heat connection upper and lower part of the suspension by Cu wires.
  • Make heat anchors for some electric wires in which large current will flow.
  • Optimize the current amount to the coil.
  • Check the balance of the suspended WAB with some wires and sensors are attached.
  • Check how the damping would be now after the replacement of the damping magnets.
  • Check the reproducibility of the alignment of the suspension among several modes.
  • Check heights of several points.
  • Take care of water spring??

Wanted!

  • Two burndy connectors, vacuum compatible.
  • Stages outside the chamber to ease wiping our legs.

  • Good rail(?) to move the WAB suspension in the cryostat in the main beam direction.

  • Chain block? to support the load in the chamber.

  • A clock to know the time easily.
  • M6 screw set.
