Visa, Invitation Letter

If you don’t need a visa, but you need only an invitation letter, please send an email to the KSC board chair,

  • Hisaaki Shinkai, hisaaki.shinkai_at_oit.ac.jp

If you need a visa to enter Japan, please fill one of the following documents (Word,PDF), and send it to Masafumi Kurachi by XXXXX, 2019.

  • Masafumi Kurachi (University Research Administrator, ICRR), kurachi_AT_km.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp

You can find the detailed procedure to apply a visa at the web site of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan https://www.mofa.go.jp/j_info/visit/visa/index.html

  • Note that you can not apply for the visa with only the invitation letter; for the visa, you have to submit special documents that are prepared by Japanese side.
  • Even if you would ask ICRR for the invitation letter along with an institute stamp, we can not provide it. We can provide the invitation letter without the institute stamp, and a working proof for one of professors.
