- Report from 10 yr Task Force [Michimura]
- Briefly reported that 10 yr TF is considering HF with long SRC for KAGRA upgrade in next 10 years.
- 10 yr TF meeting is not open to collaboration. Michimura thinks we should ask for comments from collaboration at some point.
- Comments from FSC members are also welcomed at any point. Michimura can give feedback to the TF.
- White paper writing
- To make it easier to maintain,
- Start planning in the FSC meetings, allocating people to write the section
- Let's have a workshop sometime in Aug? to focus on white paper writing.
- Let's aim for 2024 version of the FSC white paper by Dec 2024 F2F.
- Authorship and PRD applications will start in Feb 2025.
- How often we should update the science case calculations?
- It would be nice if we can automate the basic science case studies like event rates, parameter estimation etc. so that people can do science case studies quickly.
- We can have theorists do the calculation when we have a "big" update in the proposed sensitivity curves.
- It would also be nice if theorists can provide some requirements to do specific science cases.

- FSC's goal is to make a suggestion of a concrete plan for KAGRA+ and beyond, based on both science and available technologies.

- Future Planning Committee (or white paper writing team): Dissolved. Entire FSC will take care of white paper writing

Advanced R&D: R&D that are not PRD yet
- Future Working Group (FWG): Discuss new ideas and techniques for future gravitational-wave detectors (not only for KAGRA).
- Recently, chair is also joining 10 yr Task Force under EO and responsible for Instrument Science session in LVK meetings.

- How was the applications?
- I think we should relax the criteria for being PRD, and approve almost all the applications (after some revisions if necessary).
- PRD is a good way to help young scientists start contributing to KAGRA
- There are also critisms about not contributing to KAGRA directly
- Updating white paper
- Science part can be integrated into LVK Observational Science White Paper, and KAGRA-relevant topics can be extracted from this. We can also include KAGRA-specific science to the LVK Observational Science White Paper (e.g. B-L dark matter is already included)
- There is no LVK Instrument Science White Paper yet (only LSC), and KAGRA-specific one may be necessary.
Instrument science part could be updated annually. Just list up new technologies or updates on technology developments. We could also update the matrix to score each technology. KAGRA FPC White Paper - Part I JGW-M1909590
- We could propose new KAGRA+ sensitivity curves and update BBH/BNS event rates, BBH/BNS sky localization, inclination/distance estimation.
- How about having a FSC white paper writing workshop to review new technologies and updates on technology developments over the last 5 years, and write them as a white paper 2024.
- Any suggestion on when and where?
