1. Q measurement of fundamental drum mode of ETMX done on Nov 3rd
   • 2.1 x 10^5 which is 1-2 order of magnitude smaller than expected
   • Q value could be limited by suspension dissipation
   • even if lower than expected should not impact on the system thermal noise
2. Update from ARD: activity proceeding faster than expected, a small chip on barrel was discovered and will be investigated
3. Report from KASI:
   • small sample delivery expected in few days
   • zygo interferometer tests ongoing, problem with polarization
4. introduction of new characterization techniques for birefringence measurement by Marc (will be presented at FWG meeting on Nov 17th)
