Installation Procedure for Type-Bp suspensions

Preparation at the NAOJ

• Pre-assembly of the payload parts (RM, IM, IMRM)

  • IM assembly procedure

• Assembly and shipping of the bottom filters
• Assembly and shipping of the traversers
• Attachment of the magnets on the mirrors

Preparation at Akeno

• Send standard filters and earthquake stops from Akeno to Kamioka

Out sourced works

• Installation of the bottom plates
• Installation of the inner frame

• Installation of the bread boards including bread board dampers. -> TO DO: buy wires, damping magnets, hooks, springs, etc

Installation at Kamioka

• Preparation
  • Clean up the work area
  • Make sure all the necessary components are there

• Set up the mirror assembly frame -> TO DO: prepare a table to do this

• Suspend the mirror & RM from the IM

  • Mirror Hanging Procedure

• Set up the suspension assembly frame -> TO DO: prepare the assembly frame

• Put the mirror+RM+IM into the assembly frame
• Put a bottom filter and a standard filter
