• PR3 Operation Status (Fujii)
  • Watchdog tripped. Will disable the watchdog.

• Traverser and Stepper motor remote control (Shoda) -> Not yet succeeded (TAMA prototype method cannot be used in KAGRA). Tested in Mitaka, and updated later.

  • Still trying to fix the TCP/IP <-> Serial

• PR3 OpLev now use a collimator for a large beam. May need to change it back to reduce the noise.

Electronics

• What are necessary in the next few weeks ?

  • Tested the prototype board with test input -> Worked fine

• Guardian script for PR3 (Shoda, Okutomi, Fujii) -> DONE(16/03/08)

  • Watching the digital watchdog. Recover the damping control if the watchdog is tripped.

• Electronics diagram and review

  • Need to think about who will be rensposible for the electronics of each suspension
    • Type-Bp will be controlled by Shoda but the diagram update will be done by Mark
    • Type-A may be maintained by a new engineer. Will be discussed later.
  • We need to count electronics and cables needed for the tests, such as temporary sensors and so on.
  • Operation manual for digital system is necessary

bKAGRA preparation

• Three big categories of the tasks
  • Type-A: Leader = Takahashi, Okutomi, Ishizaki, a new engineer
  • Type-B (BS and SRC): Leader = Mark, Fabian, Hirata
  • Type-Bp modification: Leader = Shoda, Fujii, A new technician (?)

  • We decided to order 6 to Shinko-sha

    • Takahashi will call the company to have a meeting

    • Aso will check with Ohashi-san about the budget -> we can place an order

    • We will use the sapphire prisms for the test hanging too
    • Since we need to go forward on the BS and we can't make a decision on SR, we decided to go with tall 6.28 mm prisms, which saves adjusting other parts.
• Can we make SR wire breakers bigger ?
  • Fukushima-san preparing test: 3/4/2106 + 1 month = ≈4/1/2016

    • Mark would (still) like to make a test flag with magnetic attachment.
    • Mark designed a tool for aligning the magnetically self-assembling IM flag design (drawing to be posted, hopefully before meeting).

  • Damper ring needs to have central hole enlarged to allow passage of suspension during installation.
    • Mirapro contacted - will remove rings from clean booth ≈3/12, inspect and quote.
  • Nail-head parts too short
    • Hirata-san has adjusted design and made new drawings.
• Extension springs for IM pico motors: need to do new drawing from Promec, have made
• BS Assembly Frame Design (Mark, Hirata)
  • Design is almost complete
  • Need to add some mechanism to hook a load gauge

    • Mark did initial mass budget (E1604966) and wrote up some specs for load gauge adapter.

  • Need to add some attachment points (e.g., ferromagnetic plates) for placing wind-shield panels.
  • Need to check the structural strength, did mass budget (see above)
  • Hirata-san contacted Mirapro: they will suggest a date after the iKAGRA vacuum work is done this week.

  • Hirata-san worked on IM assembly drawing for BS
  • BS 3D Assembly
    • Hirata-san made much more up-to-date version of BS in chamber.
      • Has cable clamps, lower breadboard stuff.
      • Needs updates for BF and SF blade spring configuration.

• Thinking about a possibility of testing the long filter chain using the prototype EQ stop in Kashiwa.

• Organize a kick-off meeting in the later half of March, concentrating on the room temperature part. (Takahashi)

• Prototype long maraging rods (heat treated) were delivered from Aoyama
• #Type-A Filters Optimal Load Measurements

  • #Takahashi will make a plan for the optimal load check and ask ATC.-> Check two filters per month from April 2016. -> Will be presented to the ATC steering committee.

  • #How to manufacture the long maraging wires ?
    • One prototype was machined by Ojima

    • Aoyama can do the heat treatment for the long rod. Will ask them soon (Takahashi) -> Still waiting for a quotation.

    • How to test it ?
      • We can use the prototype assembly frame in TAMA.

Type-Bp modification

• Traverser motor driver (Shoda)
  • Need a box for stepping motor driver. Miyakawa-san is thinking about ordering chassis and boxes for motors. We discussed and agreed that the design of the boxes will be unified. The boxes will be designed and ordered together with those. (16/03/10)
