bKAGRA preparation

  • Three big categories of the tasks
    • Type-A: Leader = Takahashi, Okutomi, Ishizaki, a new engineer
    • Type-B (BS and SRC): Leader = Mark, Fabian, Hirata
    • Type-Bp modification: Leader = Shoda, Fujii, A new technician (?)

Common Issues

  • Policy of the screw types to be used (Mark)
  • OSEM assembly (Akutsu)
    • Schedule for each suspension is necessary
    • Each leader must tell Akutsu-kun when and how many OSEMs they need by the next meeting.

Type-B

JGW-D1605028 Assembly]]

  • Hirata-san also did drawings for two types of BS optic flags (regular and stub) and IM flags (rigid and magnetic) (D1503487, D1605087, D1605088, ?? - not yet posted)
  • Mark checked the above for completeness and screw info - a handful of errors will be corrected.

  • BS prism preparation (Mark)
    • Order status
  • Can we make SR wire breakers bigger ?
    • Fukushima-san preparing test: 3/4/2016 + 1 month = ≈4/1/2016-> Any news on thi

  • Flag design
    • BS Flag Redesign on OneDrive

    • Optic flag design
      • Concepts 4 and 5 under consideration. Mark will arrange the meeting on this issue in the next week.
    • IM Flag design
      • Need to do drawings for self-assembling and rigid designs
    • Widen the OSEM opening (Akutsu)
    • A new local length sensing
      • Need to decide the strategy for BS: three choices
        • Use OSEMs as originally planned
        • Use OpLev, No OSEM flag

        • Use reflection type sensors, No OSEM flag
  • BS dummy optics design (Fabian)
  • BS secondary prisms (no action)
  • EQ stop screws, extensions and lock nuts - designed, drawn; will order in new financial year (April)
  • Ballast masses for payload
  • Lower breadboard stuff
    • Breadboard spring bases and associated cable clamps: in manufacture
    • Breadboard springs: in manufacture
    • Damper ring needs to have central hole enlarged to allow passage of suspension during installation.
      • Received quote from Mirapro. Rings were removed from KAGRA.
    • Nail-head parts too short
      • Quote from Mirapro received.
  • Extension springs for IM pico motors: need to do new drawing from Promec, have made
  • BS Assembly Frame Design (Mark, Hirata)
    • Design is almost complete
    • Need to add some mechanism to hook a load gauge
    • Need to add some attachment points (e.g., ferromagnetic plates) for placing wind-shield panels.
    • Need to check the structural strength, did mass budget (see above)
    • Mirapro postponed setting a meeting date till after 3/25.
    • Clean bag needs to be ordered soon. Mark will make a design. Aso will contact the company.
  • 2D and 3D CAD
    • Assembly drawings
      • Hirata-san worked on IM assembly drawing for BS - nearly finished.
      • IRM on-going.
    • BS 3D Assembly
      • Needs updates for BF and SF blade spring configuration.
  • Procedure documents
    • BS team need to visit the site in the first week of April for checking the installation procedure.

    • Mark worked on main assembly.
    • Fabian worked on payload assembly.
  • BS gluing jigs (Tatsumi)
  • Not enough crane height problem (Hirata, Saito)

Type A

  • Task list (Takahashi)

  • Thinking about a possibility of testing the long filter chain using the prototype EQ stop in Kashiwa.
    • The prototype EQ stop will be transported from Kashiwa to Kamioka on 31th March.
    • Pre-assembly of the EQ stop prototypr on 6-7 April.
    • Demonstration of installation procedure using prototype filters (SFx1 + BFx2) from May.
  • The kick-off meeting will be held on 31th March.
  • The test of prototype long maraging rod was started. Detail is here: http://klog.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/osl/index.php?r=1185

    • Load dependence was measured using a laser position sensor. Extension of 2.84mm was observed for the load of 272.8kg. The extension is consistent with the calculation (2.75mm).
  • Please notice humidity keeping maraging steel to avoid cracking noise.
  • Simultion: Okutomi will work with Fujii
    • Will have a draft simulation results by the Type-A kick-off meeting.
      • Got simulation information from Fujii-kun and Cryo group.
      • Now able to run simulation code
      • Need to confirm parameters with the actually delivered ones (like the weight): Some parameters are not consistent between some data.
  • #Type-A Filters Optimal Load Measurements
    • #Takahashi will make a plan for the optimal load check and ask ATC.-> Check two filters per month from April 2016. -> Will be presented to the ATC steering committee.

Type-Bp modification

  • Traverser motor driver (Shoda)
    • Need a box for stepping motor driver. Miyakawa-san is thinking about ordering chassis and boxes for motors. We discussed and agreed that the design of the boxes will be unified. The boxes will be designed and ordered together with those. (16/03/10)
    • Miyakawa-san wants to have a driver and a motor to test
      • Will give them to MIyakawa-san when Shoda-san come to Kamioka for the shifts -> Done ?

  • #PR2 Wire breaker problem
    • Prism removal from PR2 (Hirose, Mark)
      • Spare mirror is now back to Kashiwa
  • #CLIO suspension
    • Ishizaki-san will come to pick it up
  • Modification for bKAGRA
    • wiki

      • Uraguchi-san proposed us the new IP plan
      • Shoda updated the proposal(concerns?) for the BF active damping plan
    • Will have a brainstorming after the JSPS meeting -> Done (3/23)

      • We also discussed with Uraguchi-san, and tell him our concerns raised in our brainstorming discussion. (3/25)

    • Action items for Type-Bp modification
      • Calculate the upper limit of the resonant fequency for IP (Fujii)
      • Check if we need the magnetic damper for the bottom filter (Fujii)
      • Check the mass of the bottom plate and the cap of the standard filter -> Send Uraguchi-san (Shoda)

      • Check structure analysis of the EQ stop for active damping on BF (Shoda)
      • Check the minimam weight we need for the BFRM in order to damp the resonance enough (Shoda)
      • Check the capability to modify the BF cap (Shoda)
    • Review in April

Other

  • Safety
