Agenda/Minutes of the VIS Meeting on 2016/10/28

2016/10/28 13:30 - @Mitaka F2F.

Participants: Takahashi, Mark, Sato, Tanaka, Okutomi, Ishizaki, Aso, Enzo, Hirata, Akutsu, Shoda, Fujii, Raffaele

Progress report

Schedule Chart (PDF,MPP) To Be Updated

Type-A (Takahashi)

  • Minutes of Type-A Meeting

  • Pre-isolator: The top filter was mounted onto the IP. The shaft screw of motor was not matching to the slider for fishing rod. New shafts were ordered.
  • EQ stop, release sensor, dummy payload: Production is on going.
  • BF damper: Open bidding is on 9th November.
  • Maraging wire: Hirata-san made 2D drawings. The wires will be ordered soon.
    • Asking CRY to check the rod design for suspending the cryogenic payload. Set a deadline for the answer (Takahashi)
  • Installation: Making assembly drawings for the installation procedure document. The review is held on 4th November.

Type B (Mark)

  • Type B Past Week Summary
    • Fabian, Mark and Liu-kun did BS installation at Kamioka:
      • Debugged the issue with the BF keystone being tilted enough to cause rubbing on the yoke for the magnets. It was solved by moving the yoke ≈1 mm taking advantage of the oversized holes.
      • Measured the height of the payload as a function of trim mass. The BF spring seems to have a slightly lower load capacity and a rather higher spring constant than when it was remeasured by Hirata-san.
        • Now the resonant frequency is around 0.6 Hz as opposed to the 0.4 Hz when it was tuned.
        • Continue the test hanging with this configuration, but check if 0.6 Hz is OK or not from the viewpoint of the vibration isolation performance with simulation.
        • Hirata-san will come to Kamioka from Nov. 7 to 11 to check the BF.
      • Removed IM trim mass to set the average height of the keystone to the CAD value.
      • Moved IM trim mass around to set the pitch of the dummy BS and the roll of the IM.
      • Constructed the rest of the IRM around the IM.
    • Hirata-san
      • Prepared to get quotes for different types of "flying saucer" cable clamps (D1504530, D1605625, D1605734).
      • Finished BS assembly drawings (in-tank version) and sent to Saito-sensei).
      • Finished maraging rod 3D models and drawings (for Type A)
      • Modified top plate drawings for PRM inner frame.

Type-Bp (Shoda)

  • BFRM
    • Still waiting for ordering process.
  • Stab Flags
    • Waiting for the cost estimation.
  • Assembly frame
    • Asking cost estimate. Also asking to upgrade the assembly frame in the end of November.
  • Install procedure
    • pictures how to install whole suspension chain into the chamber is circulated.
      • We will ask the company about the accerelation of the crane, the chain block, and the lever block. According to their information, we will buy a chain block or a lever block and test them at Mitaka.
  • Flag removing jig.
    • The model is made by Shoda and approved by Hirose-san. Now the 2D drawing is being made.
  • Disassembly of PR3
    • To be done from Nov. 8 to 11. Enzo and Kasuya-san will join.

IMMT (Ohishi)

  • Put a report here

Watchdog system (Tanaka)

  • Conference material PCB Design Draft version.(Oct 21th 2016)PDF

  • Design and preparation(investigation of procurement) for production.PDF

  • Will show the design at the next AEL meeting.

Safety

  • No issue

Discussion

  • Suspension naming convention (Okutomi)
    • We decided on the following convention

Type-A:
F0 - F1 - F2 - F3 - BF - PF - (MN) - IM - OP
Type-B:
F0 - F1 - BF - IM - OP
Type-Bp:
F1 - BF - IM - OP
  • Type-Bp installation tool: Lever block or Chain block (Shoda)
    • Will contact manufacturers of those tools if they have data on the operation shocks.
