Agenda/Minutes of the VIS Meeting on 2017/6/16

2017/6/16 13:30 -

Participants:

Progress report

Schedule Chart : (PDF,MPP)

  • Type-A: 0.5 week delay
  • Type-B: 8 weeks delay
  • Type-Bp: 1 week delay

Type-A (Takahashi)

Past week report

Installation in Y-end:

12th(Mon)

  • Adjusted the tilt of BF by moving masses.
  • Checked geometry around the BF.

13th(Tue)

  • Adjusted the height of damper ring for the BF.
  • Adjusted the yaw rotation of BF.
  • Attached the LVDT coils and checked the movable range.
  • Attached the cable clamps onto the TF.
  • Removed the wire clamp.

14th(Wed)

  • Tuned the TF to frequency less than 0.2Hz changing the compression of blades.
  • Assembled the cables for BF damper.
  • Cabled from the F1 to the TF.

15th(Thu)

  • Made flip cables.
  • Cabled around the BF damper.
  • Tuned the LVDT driver.
  • Checked the assembly of geophone pods.

16th(Fri)

  • Prepared for the power outage.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Check of the BF damper.
  • Cabling to the feedthroughs.
  • Setting of the ACCs.
  • Preparation in X-end.

Type B (Mark)

Past week report

At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Hirata-san):

  • Hirata-san and Sekine-san moved the tank lid and service port ring to the pallet with the crane and covered the open tank with the spare clean bag.
  • Hirata-san and Mark got the LBB damper rings assembled and installed. A joint part for the Cu ring needed to have holes enlarged because the hole pattern did not quite match that on the half-ring. The magnet ring is hanging in the chamber and the Cu ring is attached below it with clamps, ready to receive the rods that will hang down from the PI.
  • Hirata-san recounted all the unused cables.
  • Hirata-san installed the outrigger parts on the LBB, which will receive the rods coming down from the damper ring.
  • Enzo and Mark tested all the stepper motors.
  • Enzo and Mark debugged the PI horizontal LVDTs. One LVDT had a flaky connection and one card in the LVDT driver had three dead channels. Enzo created a fully working driver using parts from another driver that also had a faulty card.
  • Fabian adjusted the ballast mass on the SF to get good pitch/roll/vertical adjustment and attached it with screws.
  • Fabian set up the optical lever again (the PR2 team had repossessed the breadboard we had been using but Akutsu-san supplied another one).
  • Enzo and Mark tested the pico motors. The software is very unreliable, but we we able to confirm that the IM pitch pico works.
  • The whole team wrapped items and shut down equipment ahead of the power outage.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Recover from power outage.
  • Crane suspension into tank.

Type-Bp (Shoda)

Past week report

  • Mirror preparation
    • We glued the wire breakers and flags on the PR2 mirror on last Friday, but they detached when I checked on Sunday.
    • Therefore, we tried the gluing again on Monday, and checked Tuesday evening. But they did not fixed again.
    • We tried again on Thursday, and it is curing time now. This time, we have put more glue on them.
  • Other preparation
    • We assembled PR2 BF LVDTs and PRM BF LVDTs. They are all calibrated.
    • We almost finished cabling between the field rack and clean room for PR2.
    • PRM circuits are also almost ready. Not cabled yet.
  • PR3 measurement
    • Fujii-kun measured the properties of PR3.
    • We found the one of the coil driver is not working well. The current for PR3/PRM rack and IOO rack was not enough. The problem of the current was fixed with Nakano-kun, but the driver might have been driven with saturated status, which might cause the problem. Actually, the problem was fixed later somehow. We do not know why yet...
    • Miyakawa-san is asking us to report the circuits problem via e-mails when they occur in order to record them.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Mirror/RM hanging (if they are properly fixed...)

IMMT (Ohishi)

Past week report

  • Removed IMMT2 mirror from IFI chamber
  • Hirose-san will carry both IMMT1 and IMMT2 mirrors to Kashiwa.

Plan for coming weeks

  • Hirose-san will put first contact on HR surface of mirrors.
  • FCL prepare jig parts.

Watchdog system (Tanaka)

Past week report

  • Examination of experimental preamplifier circuit fabrication.
    • I'm checking the operation of the fabricated circuit.
  • Creation of extended I/O PCB(plot type (With the Main 4ch WDS box and I/O box,I/O board For relay).
    • Request a quote for electronic parts etc(Estimating at Univ.Tokyo.co-op).
    • Other estimates are complete(PCB etc).

Plan for coming weeks

  • Examination of experimental preamplifier circuit fabrication. -->Ongoing.

  • Creation of extended I/O PCB(plot type (With the Main 4ch WDS box and I/O box,I/O board For relay).-->Ongoing.
