Past week report

• Set the bridge frame on the footholds.
• Installed the IP and TF into the clean booth.
• Combined the IP and the TF.
• Dismounted the GAS blades from the TF.
• Assembled the FR on the TF.
• Assembled the new designed yaw actuator on the TF. Not completed.
• Prepared the damper ring with magnets for the F1.
• Cabled around the TF.
• Repairing the side stoppers for the IY EQ stop.

Plan for coming weeks

• Mount the GAS blades on the TF.
• Set the PI on the bridge frame.
• Tune the TF.
• Cable between the F1 and PI.

Type B (Mark)

Report for week of 4/9

• Mark glued prisms and magnet/standoff assemblies on the SR3. The SR3 needed to be raised in the box by 0.7 mm to make the prisms go on at the right height, which was done using M4 washers under the PEEK feet.
• Mark glued ferromagnetic disks on the last 5 IM flags. This completes 2 sets, for SR3 and SRM.
• Mark configured two pico motor drivers ordered by Takahashi-san as SR3-IM and SRM-BF.
• Enzo and Kozu-kun finished preparing and calibrating the SF and BF for SR3 and almost entirely finished with those for SRM.
• Hirata-san worked on building two IMs for SR3 and SRM. The SR3 one just needs to have flags attached and to be weighed; the SRM needs another few hours work.
• Shoda-san worked on the design of the metal SRM, on the LBB ballast mass, and on the plans for testing the BS in bKAGRA Phase 1.

• Check results of gluing.

  • Reset assembly frame crossbars to correct heights.
  • Center the optical table.
  • Align the assembly frame vertically.
  • Install IM ring and IM.
  • Hang optic.
  • Hang RM.
  • Cable RM OSEMs.

Plan for week of 4/23

• Hirata-san at Mitaka Mon, Tue, then Kamioka

Discussion

Yaw fishing rod for the top filter

• The redesigned one did not work
• We need to replace it by mid June
• Had a discussion after the VIS meeting.
  • Try to fix the stepper motor, relying on the flexible coupling to absorb the on-axis motion.

Composite SRM design (Shoda)

• Oplev:

Use HR side of the SRM 2-inch mirror, and do not have any mirror on the AR side. The coupling rate from the transverse/vertical motion to the beam angle due to the curvature would be about 1 urad /1 mm mirror motion.

• -> It largely simplifies the design.

[A/I] Check whether Oplev bread boards can be fixed at the AR side of the outer frame. (Simon) [A/I] Double check the coupling rate from the transverse/vertical motion to the beam spot due to the curvature. (Aso)

- Inner duct: Make it wider as much as possible, and insert black-coated pipe.

[A/I] Proceed the design of the metal mass and the inner pipe. (Shoda)

- Mirror holder: Discussion on going. Gluing is preferable if possible, because it is easier to manufacture. Possible problem is

• - bubbles in glue - black-coated surface and glass can be glued? - gluing procedure (how to put glue, etc.)

LVDT drivers

• Check the current status
