Summary Report
Type-A
Type-B
- In the BS Standard Filter we set the setpoint to 787 um, which seems to be close to zero when the LVDT was working well.
- In SRM and SR2 we built windshields for the oplevs. Terrence did before and after measurements just to see the effect.
- In the BS, we routed and attached with cable ties oplev QPD cables and connected them.
- Terrence set all the tower stages in all Type-B suspensions close to their setpoints and confirmed the oplevs gave sensible readings.
- BS oplev has not been built because it would be convenient to calibrate the QPDs before. However, moving the QPDs is something we've tried to avoid because we aim to keep the O3GK alignment for O4 commissioning. Therefore, we want an agreement on a method to do this:
- The obvious: take note of the current position of the micrometer stages.
- Take note of the temperature.
- Set the tower stages to their nominal positions either with control or with fixed coil-magnet actuation.
- Take note of the position of all the stages, including the payload using the OSEMs and oplev.
- Move the QPDs to calibrate them.
- Move the micrometer stages back to their initial positions.
- Make sure the state of the suspension is the same as before, especially the oplev readout.
- Another method would be to move the oplev beam with the IP, but we need to ellaborate more on this method.
Type-Bp
We exchanged the flip adapters in PRM, PR3 and half of PR2. We also measured resistances, capacitances and inductances with the new adapters installed.
