KAGRA Filter Cavity Kick-off meeting

Abstract

This is a project to install a filter cavity into KAGRA. It is not funded yet, but we should start preliminary design studies to prepare for the time when a fund is available. This meeting's purpose is to gather interested people and identify potential tasks to start this project.

- Clarify the constraints
  - Check available space, location
    - Tomaru-san started investigation with Araki-san
      - Near IYA, air ducts may interfere
    - Using X-arm is also an option to consider
    - Beam height choice (same as the main beam or lower)
  - Vacuum interface
    - Check available flanges on OMC or OMMT chambers
    - Can we penetrate the X-arm duct ?
    - Cryostat door interference if we use the same beam height as the main beam
      - Put GVs to make a removable section next to cryostats ? : risk of vacuum leak.
    - Vacuum modifications in conjunction with overall KAGRA vacuum upgrade ?
