Overview of KAGRA Early Career Researcher (ECR) Committee

• Main role of ECR committee is representing young researchers in KSC discussion.
• In addition, the ECR committee members will help managing and maintenance of the collaboration itself such as
  1. holding poster session at f2f meeting; make the session public, look for participants, gather the lightning talk slides, and act as chair of poster session
  2. holding young researcher’s session at f2f meeting if we need; gather the opinions and agenda from postdocs and students, make the session public, and take the chair of this session.
  3. proposing and starting new activities if we want to do.
• For all works, ECR committee members have a discussion on e-mail or telecon if necessary

  • The procedure to select the postdoc and student members is as follow :

    For category B (postdocs and students)
    One postdoc and one student board members are selected by discussion between the KSC postdoc and student members, respectively. With the current rule, KSC has three postdoc members and three student members. When determining the KSC (non-board) postdoc and student members once a year, one board member is also selected from the three KSC postdocs or students by their internal discussions.

• One postdoc and one student of three KSC postdocs and students will be chosen as the KSC board member.
