Electronics preparation status for iKAGRA
- Need to check if the power cables for the DC PD were purchased (A/I Aso)
- Need to make a cabling diagram as soon as possible. (A/I Michimura)
- Need to make patch panel to be mounted on the optical tables.
- The low loss RF cables are very rigid. Need to mount N-connectors on patch panels.
Output Optics
OMC suspension
- KAGRA's requirement on the OMC vibration is about 100 times more stringent than aLIGO. However, aLIGO's OMC suspension performance seems to be comparable to KAGRA requrirement (to be checked).
- aLIGO used different approach (scattering) to set the isolation requirements.
- Somiya-san proposed to use UWA suspensions.
- If the OMC is suspended by one wire, it will move a lot. So actively controlling the orientation is important.
Output Optics Layout
- We need to fix the number of chambers, size, height and locations.
- We will proceed with current proposal by Somiya-san.
- Aso will check the mode matching calculations
- OMC chamber may be a bit too crowded ?
- aLIGO OMC damps all the ghost beams inside the OMC
- It is better to enclose the OMC with black glass walls to protect it from stray lights
- Beam dumps only have to take care of micro watts, if the OMC is protected by a beam shutter.
Next Meeting
The next next Monday is a holiday. So the next meeting will be 4 weeks later. 2015/10/5(Mon) 14:00 - 15:00 I will consider if we can have a meeting somewhere earlier.
