Outline of the meeting
The 19th F2F meeting will be held at Osaka City University. We plan to discuss the summary of phase-1 operation, steps for joining the LIGO/Virgo's O3 run, and other urgent issues.
- Banquet will be held in the evening of May 18. The banquet fee is 3500 JPY (2500 JPY for a student).
- We will collect 500 JPY from all participants for snacks at the coffee breaks at the registration desk.
- If you are a member of the KAGRA collaboration and have recently moved to a new place: Contact the KSC board. You will be requested to make an introduction of your new laboratory at the meeting.
- If you want to join the KAGRA collaboration: Contact the KSC board. You are supposed to make a presentation on your proposal at the meeting.

Poster Presentation Prize
- We will organize poster session and have "poster presentation prize" at every F2F.
- Awards are for students only, and will be selected from whom made entry at the registration.
- Award-entried posters will be marked with a sticker, and will be marked in the program.
- Vote will be made by all the participants, and the vote will be closed at the lunch time of the final day.
- Ballot paper is prepared with two-types, for permanent staff and others, in order to make statistics.
- We will award two persons, for his/her "Beautiful Presentation" and "Fruitful Contents".
- A small awarding ceremony is at the final session.
Winners’ names and brief description of their works (provided by authors) will appear in wiki and KSC NewsLetters.

The venue
The meeting site is "Tanaka Memorial hall/田中記念館" at the Sugimoto Campus of the Osaka City University. (No. 8 building in the campus map available at the university official page). It takes less than 5 minutes on foot from JR "Sugimoto-cho/杉本町" Station (JR line) East exit.
You can also access from "Abiko/あびこ" Station (Subway Midosuji line) within 20 minutes on foot (directions).
Access
There are several ways to come to the meeting venue (Tanaka Memorial hall/田中記念館 at the Sugimoto Campus of the Osaka City University). Here is the wide area route map originally available from OSAKAINFO.
1. From the main terminals:
From Kansai International Airport (KIX/関西国際空港) : Take the JR Kansai-Airport Rapid Service, change at Sakai-shi/堺市 Station to a local train for Tennoji/天王寺 Station and get off at Sugimoto-cho/杉本町 Station.
- From Shin-Osaka/新大阪 Station : (a) Take the subway Midosuji/御堂筋 Line and get off at Abiko/あびこ Station. or (b) Take the subway Midosuji/御堂筋 Line and change to JR Hanwa/阪和 Line at Tennoji/天王寺 Station, and get off at Sugimoto-cho/杉本町 Station.
From Osaka International Airport (Itami/大阪国際空港(伊丹空港)) : Take an Airport Limousine Bus to Abenobashi/あべの橋 Station, then take a local train on the JR Hanwa/阪和 Line from JR Tennoji Station and get off at Sugimoto-cho Station.
2. From Tennoji Station (JR/Subway Midosuji line)
- Take a JR Hanwa-line train from Tennoji Station and get off at Sugimoto-cho Station. It takes 14-20 minutes and costs 180 JPY.
note: At the Tennoji station, please take a local train. No rapid train stops at Sugimoto-cho Station. Usually, the track number 7 and 8 of Tennoji Station are for Hanwa-line local trains.
For the campus map and additional details please look at the University web site.
Accommodations
Please book a hotel by yourself, and as soon as possible, since Osaka is quite busy city. It is recommended to book a hotel near the Tennoji station or along the Subway Midosuji Line.
Lunch Place
There are several small restaurants or a cafe around the campus. Some of them are open on weekends. In addition, there are several of small restaurants along the road at the north of the campus, but most close on Sundays.
Our campus has two canteens in addition to Metasequoia (the banquet place) as well as one Italian restaurant (Nonohana), but the former two close on weekends and Nonohana closes on Sundays.
