VIS special meeting on iKAGRA ETM and PR2
2016/1/6 14:00 - 15:45
Participants: Fabian, Tatsumi, Suzuki, Raffaele, Shoda, Takahashi, Tomaru, Aso, Mark, Akutsu, Fujii
Agenda Items
- Proposed plans (Aso)
- Two descoping options are proposed
- Use TAMA PRM with TAMA suspension as iKAGRA ETMs
- Use fixed PR2
- TAMA suspension status (Takahashi)
- There exist 5 TM type suspensions in TAMA
- Two of them have coils, others not.
- Two suspensions with coils will be used for the filter cavity experiment
- We need to make coils and associated parts
- Some of the suspensions were stored in the air for a long time. We need to clean them first.
- Tatsumi-san already got a quotation for coil bobins: delivery date 1/25
- We can use D-sub instead of BNC, so that we can also use in-vac cables prepared for ETMs.
One of the TAMA PRMs is used for the filter cavity experiment. If we use this mirror, they need something instead -> LISM mirror (ask Ohashi-san)
Conclusions
- VIS team agrees to the two descoping plans proposed by SEO
- ETM
- NAOJ will take care of the preparation of the TAMA suspensions back to the original state. The rest of the installation work should be led by other people (e.g. Uchiyama-san). Aso will consult with SEO about this responsibility separation.
- The following items are identified as the NAOJ tasks for the suspension preparation
- Check the current status
- Wash existing parts
- Order missing parts
- Coil winding
- Send parts to Kamioka
- Assemble the suspensions at Kamioka
- The task assignment was discussed between Aso and Takahashi. They will contact people to get their agreement. Then the task assignment will be announced soon.
- The filter cavity experiment needs a replacement mirror for the PRM. Aso will ask Ohashi-san about the LISM mirror.
- PR2
- The preparation and installation of the fixed mirror will not be done by the VIS people.
We need to consider how to effectively use the released man power for the preparation of bKAGRA suspensions -> to be discussed at the regular VIS meeting.
- We need to secure and cover up the current PR2 assembly set up (Mark, Fabian)
