• PR3 Installation Status (Takahashi)

  • #Traverser repair: Repair of the broken ones at Mitaka -> Uraguchi-san is working on it.

  • #Screws to fix the front and back rings the RM were too long, or the tapping in the holes were too short. Couldn't use M5x40. Ordered M5x35 with vent holes. -> Delivered. Remember to replace them

• PR3 flag and 2nd wire breaker repair status (Tatsumi)
  • PR3 arrived at Kamioka. Sitting in the front room of the PR3 clean booth.
• The frame for the clean bag is bent.
  • Mirapro is available to reinforce the frame by gluing diagnal beams on Feb. 22.
  • Once reinformced the frame cannot be disassembled. The frame will stay on the 2F.

  • Will ask Mirapro to go ahead (Aso)-> done

Plan for the next week

• Mon: Hang the mirror
• Tue: Hang RM, Cabling
• Wed: RM alignment, Signal check of OSEMs
• Thu: Set the top plate on the assembly frame
• Fri: Hang IM

iKAGRA ETM suspension

• Assembly of the suspension (Ohishi)
  • Mostly completed.

  • Need to buy some screws-> ordered

• Missing parts (Tatsumi, Takahashi)

  • Plates to fix the connectors on the suspension frame were ordered. -> Delivered to Mitaka

  • Coil bobin: Delivery date-> Delivered to Kamioka

  • Insulation tubes for picomotor connectors -> ordered

• PRM transportation (Tatsumi)
  • Wire breakers do not fit the plastic container.
  • Asking for quotation for a larger size, but will take some time
  • Cutting slits on the side wall of the container is another possibility. In this case, wrap the thing with a plastic bag willl be necessary for preventing dusts from coming in.

  • Will consult with Hirose-san about this (Tatsumi).

• Coil winding (Takahashi)
  • Will be done by Ando-lab students from 2/8

  • Winding machine test status ? (Takahashi) -> Setup the machine in the clean booth. Test winding OK.

  • We still need an overview diagram-> Mark will show us a draft version in the next meeting.

  • Made a prototype circuit board for checking the PCB design before ordering
  • Getting quotations for electric components
  • Will get a quotation for PCB production soon (target date is Feb 15)

  • Miyakawa-san circulated a design of the conversion cable (D9-D15): drawing

  • Need to send more PTFE cable to finish the remaining two -> Will do it in the next week

BS and SR

  • Kick off meeting within February (Mark)
• BS prism preparation
  • Contacted the company LIGO used for the possibility of buying sapphire prisms (Mark)
  • They are happy to take an order. No Japanese agent. But international order can be taken.

  • Will ask for the lead time to the company (Mark) Drawing to be sent (LIGO drawing) -> Send the drawing to the companies immediately assuming SR uses 5mm

  • Can we make the BS and SR prisms the same: Mark/Hirata klog -> Seems possible to use the same size 5mm

• Can we make SR wire breakers bigger ?

  • We need to decide on how much to widen. Check what happens if we use 5mm tall prism on CAD (Hirata) -> Result

    • Make the slit wider by 3mm will interfere with a M5 threaded hole
      • The hole is needed to keep the mechanical rigidity
      • Can make a new M5 hole somewhere near by ?

    • Check what happens if we widen the slit by 3.75mm and make a new M5 (Hirata) -> Result

      • Will talk to Fukushima-san again (Hirata)

      • Wider cuts will break the horizontal balance. Need to check how much compensation mass is reduced.

• Flag design (Mark)

  • Mark will sort out the ideas and organize a specialized meeting.-> will present an updated version in the next meeting.

• IP base clamp (Fabian): Picture -> Reduce the number of clamps-> Hirata-san is working on 2D drawings. Will finish on Monday.

• Bread board spring (Takahashi): Will talk to Mark after the meeting.

• New accelerometer for IP (Joris)

  • Will give a talk at an NAOJ seminar in March-> Will tell him to contact Akutsu-kun-> done

  • Need more frequent interaction with cryogenic people
  • Simulation task is needed. It should be the first priority

  • Prioritize the tasks and make a tentative schedule by the next meeting (Takahashi)

• Fishing rod production status (Takahashi)
  • Ordered the material for the blades.
  • Stepping motors were ordered.

  • Mechanical parts remaining to be ordered -> ordered

• #Type-A Filters Optimal Load Measurements

  • #Takahashi will make a plan for the optimal load check and ask ATC.-> Check two filters per month from April 2016. -> Will be presented to the ATC steering committee.

  • #How to manufacture the long maraging wires ?
    • One prototype was machined by Ojima

    • Aoshima can do the heat treatment for the long rod. Will ask them soon (Takahashi) -> Still waiting for a quotation.

    • How to test it ?
      • We can use the prototype assembly frame in TAMA.

Type-Bp modification

• PRM traverser
  • Postpone the production to the next FY until we know the details of the modification.

  • Tell Uraguchi-san about the above plan (Takahashi)
