First LIGO company quoted on prism less grooves, and recommended other company for those. US$750 each for 12, 6-8 weeks delivery. Insaco_prism_quote.pdf
The company suggested another US company for V-cut. Mark will contact them.
- Got a quotation from Shinko-sha (Takahashi)
- 260KJPY for two. Lead time = 1.5month
- With the V-cut company being different from what LIGO used, the advantage of using US companies is not clear now.
- One possibility for risk reduction: buy 2 from US, 4 from JP and use 2 from JP for test hanging to see if they work fine or not. If they work fine, we can continue to use them for SR. If they fail, we have another set to try from US.
- Can we make SR wire breakers bigger ?
Check what happens if we widen the slit by 3.75mm and make a new M5 (Hirata) -> Result
- Two concerns
- The rework may bend the wing shaped parts.
- The P.C.D. of the new screw holes may not coincide exactly with the other existing holes
- Consult with Fukushima-san again. Takahashi will contact Fukushima-san

Will test machine the dirty recoil mass. Will have another meeting with Fukushima-san (Takahashi)
Do we need to widen the slits for PRC RMs ? -> Depends on how difficult it is to rework the RM.

- The above design seems fine.
Hirata-san will get quotes from companies (consult with Takahashi-san which company to ask)
IP base clamp (Fabian): Reduce the number of clamps-> Hirata-san finished 2D drawings. Trying to get quotation now.-> Still waiting for the quotation.-> Will get a quotation on the next Monday.
- Wind shield around the assembly frame may be necessary. Working on the design (Mark)
- Bread board spring (Takahashi): Hirata-san is getting quotations.Asked quotation with the above one all at once.
- Issue with adjustment screws on lower optical bench (bench can only be adjusted down from nominal due to lack of holes in bench below new position of screws holding wires)
Mark, Hirata and Takahashi will discuss how to solve the issue and present a solution at the next meeting.

- Design is almost complete
- Add some mechanism to hook a load gauge

#Takahashi will make a plan for the optimal load check and ask ATC.-> Check two filters per month from April 2016. -> Will be presented to the ATC steering committee.

- One prototype was machined by Ojima
Aoshima can do the heat treatment for the long rod. Will ask them soon (Takahashi) -> Still waiting for a quotation.
- How to test it ?
- We can use the prototype assembly frame in TAMA.
