Updated PR3 schematic with OpLev wiring (http://gwdoc.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/cgi-bin/private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=4795)
- #Who will manage the electronics of each suspension
- Type-Bp will be controlled by Shoda but the diagram update will be done by Mark
- Type-A may be maintained by a new engineer. Will be discussed with the person later.
- #We need to count electronics and cables needed for the tests, such as temporary sensors and so on.
bKAGRA preparation
- Three big categories of the tasks
- Type-A: Leader = Takahashi, Okutomi, Ishizaki, a new engineer
- Type-B (BS and SRC): Leader = Mark, Fabian, Hirata
- Type-Bp modification: Leader = Shoda, Fujii, A new technician (?)
Common Issues
- OSEM assembly (Akutsu)
- Schedule for each suspension is necessary
Each leader will tell Akutsu-kun when and how many OSEMs they need.
Lessons learned from iKAGRA installation (Shoda) Problems raised from lessons learned from iKAGRA installation.pdf
- RM wire thickness: Fabian will calculate
- In-vac test of installed suspensions: Need to be taken into account when making installation schedule
- We should check the iKAGRA PR3 mirror position after iKAGRA
Type-B
- Quick summary, week to 3/18
- Hirata-san made assembly drawings of IM and IMR. IM is almost finished. IMR is still on going.
- Fabian designed the ballast masses for the payload.
- Mark confirmed flag concept #4 was easy to make and made concept #5 with no flag tip.
- Mark/Fabian worked on procedure docs
- Mark surveyed BS clean booth area while at Kamioka (still need longer trip to discuss with site people).
- Assorted quotes received.
- BS prism preparation (Mark)
- We decided to order 6 to Shinko-sha
- Meeting with company set for 3/24 in Yokohama.
Aso will check with Ohashi-san about the budget -> we can place an order now.
- We will use the sapphire prisms for the test hanging too
- Since we need to go forward on the BS and we can't make a decision on SR, we decided to go with tall 6.28 mm prisms, which saves adjusting other parts.
- We decided to order 6 to Shinko-sha
- Can we make SR wire breakers bigger ?
- Fukushima-san preparing test: 3/4/2016 + 1 month = ≈4/1/2016
- Flag design
- Optic flag design
- Hirata-san confirmed with ATC that "BS Optic Flag Concept 4 (Small Magnet, Small Hole).pdf" would be easy to make.
- IM Flag design
- Fabian improved rigid IM flag design ("BS_IM_flag_Concept_Screwed2.pdf")
- Mark would (still) like to make a test flag with magnetic attachment.
- Mark designed a tool for aligning the magnetically self-assembling IM flag design (drawing to be posted, hopefully before meeting).
- Widen the OSEM opening (Akutsu)
- A new local length sensing
Slides by Ettore for OpLev length sensing http://gwdoc.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/cgi-bin/private/DocDB/ShowDocument?docid=4990
The noise of the OpLev length sensor will be worse than OSEMs
- Reflection type shadow sensor (Akutsu)
- Discussed a possibility to remove the sensing function from the mirror OSEM.
- Chop off the flag part from the magnet holder
- Safer (less possibility of flag damage)
- Wider range
OpLev with two QPD sensors may be used instead to sense the longitudinal motion (Virgo is doing this)
- Question is whether the sensing noise is good enough or not
- Raffaele will look for documents/data in Virgo
Akutsu will consider if this option is possible in KAGRA OpLev
- Mark made stub flag (no vane for sensor): "BS Optic Flag Concept 5 (Small Magnet, Stub).pdf"
- Tatsumi-san is OK with both designs - just need to choose.
- Chop off the flag part from the magnet holder
- BS dummy optics design (Fabian)
- Hirata-san received one quote, is waiting on a second.
- BS secondary prisms (no action)
- EQ stop screws, extensions and lock nuts - designed, drawn; will order in new financial year (April)
Ballast masses for payload (new item) - Fabian designed Dropbox link
- Lower breadboard stuff
- Breadboard spring bases and associated cable clamps: in manufacture
- Breadboard springs: in manufacture
- Damper ring needs to have central hole enlarged to allow passage of suspension during installation.
- Received quote from Mirapro. Rings were removed from KAGRA.
- Nail-head parts too short
- No progress since last week but Hirata-san will ask for quote from Mirapro.
- Extension springs for IM pico motors: need to do new drawing from Promec, have made
- BS Assembly Frame Design (Mark, Hirata)
- Design is almost complete
- Need to add some mechanism to hook a load gauge
Mass budget (E1604966).
- Need to add some attachment points (e.g., ferromagnetic plates) for placing wind-shield panels.
- Need to check the structural strength, did mass budget (see above)
- Mirapro postponed setting a meeting date till after 3/25.
- 2D and 3D CAD
- Assembly drawings
- Hirata-san worked on IM assembly drawing for BS - nearly finished.
- IRM on-going.
- BS 3D Assembly
- Needs updates for BF and SF blade spring configuration.
- Assembly drawings
- Procedure documents
BS team need to visit the site in the first week of April for checking the installation procedure.
- Mark worked on main assembly.
- Fabian worked on payload assembly.
- #BS gluing jigs (Tatsumi)
- #Not enough crane height problem (Hirata, Saito)
- #BS clean bag (Aso)
Type A
Task list (Takahashi)
- Thinking about a possibility of testing the long filter chain using the prototype EQ stop in Kashiwa.
- The prototype EQ stop will be transported from Kashiwa to Kamioka on 31th March.
- The kick-off meeting will be held on 31th March.
The test of prototype long maraging rod was started. Detail is here: http://klog.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/osl/index.php?r=1077
- Measuring two points along the wire to only measure the wire elongation
- Should check if the wire comes back to the original length after off-loading.
- Simultion: Okutomi will work with Fujii
- Will have a draft simulation results by the Type-A kick-off meeting.
- Got simulation information from Fujii-kun.
- Now able to run simulation code
- Need to confirm parameters with the actually delivered ones (like the weight)
- Will have a draft simulation results by the Type-A kick-off meeting.
- #Type-A Filters Optimal Load Measurements
#Takahashi will make a plan for the optimal load check and ask ATC.-> Check two filters per month from April 2016. -> Will be presented to the ATC steering committee.
Type-Bp modification
- Traverser motor driver (Shoda)
- Need a box for stepping motor driver. Miyakawa-san is thinking about ordering chassis and boxes for motors. We discussed and agreed that the design of the boxes will be unified. The boxes will be designed and ordered together with those. (16/03/10)
- Miyakawa-san wants to have a driver and a motor to test
Will give them to MIyakawa-san when Shoda-san come to Kamioka for the shifts
