2017/3/10 13:30 -
Participants: Takahashi, Mark, Sato, Ishizaki, Aso, Okutomi, Hirata, Fabian, Enzo, Perry, Tanaka, Akutsu, Raffaele, Shoda
Progress report
- Type-A: 3 weeks and 3 days delay
- Type-B: 4 weeks delay
- Type-Bp: On schedule
Type-A (Takahashi)
Past week report
Installation in Y-end:
6th(Mon)
- Calibrated LVDT for F3.
- Checked the range of FR on the F3. It was +/- 3mm.
7th(Tue)
- Replaced the shield plate between the BF and the F3.
- Attached the support ring for the BF damper.
- The small hexagons (cable cramp) were attached on the maraging wire for BF.
8th(Wed)
- Adjusted the height of F3. The shims were removed.
- The lenght between the DP and the BF was extended. The sitting condition of DP was changed.
- One release sensor for BF was broken.
9th(Thu)
- The end plate for DP was lifted up to the frame lock.
- The wire hook on the DP was loose. It was fastened.
- Adjusted the height of BF. The 2mm shims were inserted.
- The end plate for BF was lifted down to the frame lock.
- Additional two release sensors for BF were broken. They were replaced.
- Adjusted the rotational position of EQ stop and BF.
10th(Fri)
- Assembled the BF damper.
Plan for coming weeks
- Cabling from the BF to the F3.
- Lift down the BF stage into the tube.
- Assemble the F2 stage.
Discussion
- What to do with the touch sensors ?
- We have about 10 spare sensors
- Cover the contact surface wit Teflon sheets
- Put the horizontal stop screws very close to the filters during the adjustment to prevent lateral motion.
Type B (Mark)
Past week report
At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Perry, Hirata-san):
- We removed the BF cap to debug the stepper motor. We checked the cabling but didn't find a problem. Eventually toggling the power to the driver box seemed to fix it.
- We got the wheels removed from the two tall stepladders.
- After tripping the circuit breaker with the vacuum cleaner and shutting down the rack again, we ran another power reel from an outlet on the -X,+Y corner.
- We started to rebalance the IM but came to realize that it was unstable for more than trivial pitch and roll (and had been for some time). We moved trim mass from top to bottom and it became unconditionally stable.
- We rebalance the IM, put back the IRM and adjusted the OSEMs.
- We took a successful TF in IM-L.
- We added the security structure ring for below the SF and then added the SF. We noticed the cap is on at the wrong angle (so the keystone lock screws are inaccessible) but we can easily fix that.
- We found and installed two floor panels to fix a hole in the second floor. (This had become possible after the floor panels were cut to shorter lengths, but we had not gotten to doing it.
- We cleaned up after a water leak.
Plan for coming weeks
Next week:
- Everyone (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Perry Hirata-san) at Kamioka, Monday-Friday except for Hirata-san Wednesday-Friday).
- Finish SF installation.
- Finish BF cabling, hang BF/IRM/IM/RM/BS from SF and confirm weight matches load capacity.
- Re-trim BF as necessary.
- Get picomotor driver working.
Week after next:
- Everyone (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Hirata-san) at Kamioka, Tuesday-Friday.
- Prepare for PI installation.
Discussion
- Start the preparation of PI in parallel with the SF work
- Mark (from Monday) Hirata (from Wednesday) will confirm if we have everything for PI
- Contact Miyoki-san to arrange the crane slit work. Tell him when we want to do the work (Mark, Aso)
Type-Bp (Shoda)
Past week report
- Actuation check
- The actuation of BF LVDT was checked, but they are not perfect. Though the resistances at the end of the connection are almost same, the calibration rate seems to be largely different. We will check it again inside the chamber, which should be OK since we have access from the second floor.
- Suspension chain was installed!!
- We installed the suspension chain inside the vacuum chamber.
- We did not use the clean bag since it decrease the safety a lot. Instead, we cover the top of the suspension with the clean bags.
- With the help of Shindo-san, we lifted the suspension horizontally using the turn buckles. The suspension is slowly lifted and lowered by the chain block.
- FC is removed.
- Oplev was set and the beam is coming out.
- Cabling is almost done.
Plan for coming weeks
- Evaluation of the suspension performance.
- Suspension will be took out from the chamber on 16th.
Discussion
Calibration of the length sensing OpLev
- There are several methods
- Calibration of the beam spot motion on QPD assuming that the ABCD matrix is correct
- Calibrate the actuation efficiency first with photo sensor
- Use the traverser
- We need to put the calibration work into the schedule
- There are several methods
IMMT (Ohishi)
Past week report
Plan for coming weeks
Watchdog system (Tanaka)
Past week report
Electronic parts ordered from co-op(Univ.Tokyo) --->Delivery completed.
- PCB production started.
Can not use (It must not be a member paying annual fee and monthly fee).---> I'm planning to perform surface mounting for Power board(WDS Main 4ch Box) in reflow furnace in Akihabara.
- Change in design is necessary (for example, dividing and reducing the size).
Plan for coming weeks
- Production of Prototype circuit board(Ongoing).
Safety
- Incidents: A screw fall into the tube in Y-end.
- Foreseen risks
- Type-A: Crane work, work on the foot hold.
- Type-B: Lots of craning, working at height.
- Type-Bp: Ask Shindo-san crane work.
Discussion
Number of LVDT cards
- We need 19 LVDT driver boxes (= 19*2=38 driver cards)
- We have 20 LVDT boxes at hand
- So far, we have 2 broken driver cards, out of 10 cards tested (20% failure rate)
- We want to have 6 more LVDT boxes = 12 driver cards
Anti-dust floor paint
- Furuta-san offered us to re-paint the floor of the PR and BS clean booths to repair the broken anti-dust painting
- This work requires about 3 days
- We will ask him to arrange the work during the F2F meeting
- We need to mark the areas of the floor we want to fix
