4th(Tue)
- Reinstalled the maraging wire for cryo-payload.
- Assembled the EQ stop for F2.
- Assembled the cables for F2.
5th(Wed)
- Assembled the cables for F2-F3.
- Put the F2 base onto the end plate of EQ stop with the maraging wire for F3.
- Released the keystone of F2.
6th(Thu)
- Tuned the F2. The two ballast weights were taken from inside the F2.
- Adjust the height of release sensor for F2.
- Calibrated the LVDT on F2.
Plan for coming weeks
- Finish the cabling between F2 and F3.
- Lift down the F3 stage into the corrugate tube.
- 10th(Mon): Shipping of the items for X-end by Ishizaki (Mitaka).
- 11th(Tue): Delivery of the items (Kamioka). Preparation for the transportation to X-end.
- 12th(Wed): Transportation to X-end by MESCO with Ishizaki.
- 13th(Thr): Preparation for the replacement of hoist.
- 14th(Fri): Replacement of the hoist in Y-end.
Action Items
- Need to talk with CRY about the installation procedure of the cryogenic payload. (Takahashi)
- Give a 3.3m maraging rod to CRY to do a fit check (Takahashi)
Type B (Mark)
Past week report
At Kamioka (Mark, Fabian, Enzo, Perry, Hirata-san):
- We set things up again after the floor coating work.
- We moved the PI into the second floor of the cleanbooth:
- We cleared a path for the forklift (moving the portable cleanroom, worktable, power cables, vacuum pumps and other obstacles).
- We got Saito-sensei to move the PI to the +Y side of the cleanbooth.
- We washed and cling-wrapped a pallet.
- We got Miyoki-san to disconnect the cables and curtain blocking the crane slot (and reconnect them afterwards).
- We added some temporary crossbars in the top of the assembly frame and stored the SF cap on them to get it out of the way.
- We craned in the pallet and set it up to bridge three floor joists.
- We craned in the PI using Saito-san's adapter.
- We couldn't find the original screws for the three PI transport plates so we substituted some others - fortunately there was no galling.
- We had to connect the adapter to the crane with a sling because the ring for the hook was slightly too small).
- We did a lot of cabling work:
- We routed all the BF cables over the BF cap, up through the cable clamp on the SF-BF rod and up to the SF. (We had to redo a few because the Type 3 cable was at the flange end instead of the Type 1.)
- We connected up the SF LVDT and FR stepper.
- We started on rebalancing the BF (which had been perturbed by the weight and tension of all the cables). We got it rather better, but it needs more work.
- We made another batch of anti-feedthrough adapters.
Plan for coming weeks
For more detail, see KAGRA/Subgroups/VIS/TypeB/ToDo.
Week of 4/10:
- Hirata-san does scissor lift training 4/10.
- Perry in Tokyo 4/10.
- Debug/fix dead OSEM channel, TM-H4.
- Debug BF/SF LVDTs.
- Adjust BF pitch/roll.
- Do TF from SF LVDT actuation.
- Install temporary ballast mass in SF.
- Lift SF/BF/... section and check total weight and SF balance.
Continue swap of PI LVDT connectors (female->male)
- Start preparing LBB spring units.
- Install pico drivers in rack, create MEDM interface (with Miyo-kun), and undo temporary connection of picos to old controller and joystick.
Week of 4/17:
- Crane in PI.
- Connect SF/BF... section.
- Temporarily remove PI and adjust SF ballast if necessary.
Discussion
- Disassembly jigs for BS has not yet been designed.
- It will take some time for Hirata-san to do the design.
- The current dummy mirror is made of aluminum. Therefore, we do not need a sophisticated disassembly jig at this time.
- For the disassembly of the BS test hanging, we will not make a disassembly jig.
Type-Bp (Shoda)
Past week report
- Clean booth was dirty.
- PR3 mirror hanged
- We have experienced the wire slipping again. I discussed with Ikenoue-san for the update today.
- This time, the pitch drift of the mirror was not so large. But the mirror is not perfectly aligned. The mirror is now tilting by 1/250 in desired direction.
- RM hanged
- We used the new mirror box with the shorter height of the mirror box. It might be better if we have longer guide poles, though we could removed the rid without any accident.
- EQ stops on the TF stage were also assembled.
- We are trying to measure the TFs. But the measurement does not look good. We will try again next Monday.
- BF GAS LVDT was replaced.
Plan for coming weeks
- Measure TFs of the RM.
- Set the BF and hang IM and IRM.
Discussion
- Some RM parts for PR2 are missing. Continue the search for a while. If we do not find them, we will make new ones.
- Need to order ballast masses for PRM RM.
- We also need to buy wire clamps for IM with spare.
- Aso asked Hirata-san to get quotes for the above parts.
IMMT (Ohishi)
Past week report
Plan for coming weeks
Watchdog system (Tanaka)
Past week report
Main board(WDS main PCB) mounting and implementation.--> Completed mounting of solder side.
Plan for coming weeks
- Main board(WDS main PCB) mounting components side.
- Operational test(for WDS main PCB).
Safety
- Incidents: No.
- Foreseen risks
- Type-A: Crane works.
- Type-B: Crane works. Installation of the lower bread board springs.
- Type-Bp: Crane works.
Discussion
- VIS budget
Budget sheet: https://1drv.ms/x/s!Ajrs5Q_CgYCOhDmdIfYLxfXEMLxs
Budget sheet from SEO: https://1drv.ms/x/s!Ajrs5Q_CgYCOhEJ9sWy16ITB4eII
- After discussion, we found that the only item which can be postponed to the next FY is the OMMT suspension.
- RMS speed requirements from MIF
http://gwwiki.icrr.u-tokyo.ac.jp/JGWwiki/KAGRA/subgroup/ifo/MIF/Minutes20170327
- The Type-B RMS speed is estimated to be 0.2um/sec (Sekiguchi thesis). Therefore, we should be able to meet the requirements from MIF.
