- Type-A: 0.5 week delay expected for BF
- Type-B:
Type-A (Takahashi)
Past week report
[X-front]
- Assembled the side stoppers for DP and BF.
- Assembled the LVDT coils for BF damper. The primary coils were attached on the cup.
- Measured the weight of BF (105 kg).
- Put the BF base onto the end plate and hooked the test wire to the receptacle.
- Tuned the BF with additional compression (load 190.4kg, frequency 0.3Hz).
Check with CRY if 190kg is OK for CRY payload (Takahashi)
- Checked the range of FR in the BF. The range was larger than the movable limit of keystone.
- Checked the blades on TFs. There were not any cracks on the surface of the blades.
[Y-end]
- Release the support jack for the top chamber. The height of chamber was decreased by 2mm.
- Removed the NIM chassis from the rack.
Plan for coming weeks
- Open the top chamber and the cross tube.
- Install the DP and the BF into the chamber.
Type B (Mark)
Report for week of 1/29
- We moved the top filter intended for SR2 (#1) into the SR3 cleanbooth.
Unfortunately we noticed one of the blades had many small X-shaped stress fractures on the top surface (klog 4058).
We moved the top filter entered for SR3 (#3) into the SRM cleanbooth and inspected the blades. Two had one smallish stress fracture each and one had a huge fracture and looks close to failing (klog 4061).
- We referred the BS OL.
We removed the BS tank lid and inspected the BS top filter blades. They seemed fine (klog 4073).
- Hirata-san received and washed some ferromagnetic disks for IM flags and other small parts.
- Hirata-san moved the BF with the tilted keystone (#1) out of the cleanbooth in preparation for rebuilding.
- Hirata-san placed the second order for payload parts, and an order for remachining of nuts for cable clamps on rods.
- Fabian measured the gain of the ADC system (homework from the Commissioning Workshop).
- Shoda-san revised the BS real-time model (and Izumi-san fixed a few compile errors and installed it).
Plan for week of 2/5
- Enzo on vacation; all others at Kamioka.
- -
- Make in-air pico adapter cables.
- Calibrate LVDT.
- Test IM picos and BF yaw pico.
- Test FR.
- Install ballast mass in BF.
- Build IRM around IM.
Plan for week of 2/13
No work Monday (建国記念の日の振替休日)
- Enzo on vacation
- Hirata-san at Mitaka Tue, Wed (to receive and wash parts).

- Do TFs from IM OSEMs to IM OSEMs, OL pitch/yaw.
Plan for week of 2/19
- Lift BF/... section and check total mass and balance.
- Cable and test BF picos.
- Add section of SS up to SF ring.
- Bring in SF.
- Add Cu segments to SF cap.
- Hook BF/... section.

Discussion
- Fragile blades
All the SR TF blades are bad -> we will replace them
- BS and ITM TF blades seem to be OK (no crack found)
Takahashi will ask G&M the history of those blades (is there any difference between the SR blades and others ?)
- For ITM TF, we do not have enough number of blades from the beginning. We need at least 3 more blades.
- We will make the following numbers of blades:
- SR: 15 (9 necessary)
- BS: 6 (3 necessary if we replace them)
- Type-A: 6 (3 necessary)
- How to safely take out the damaged blades from the TFs ?
- We need to wear protective gear (Aso will look for them)
- We will clamp the blade (using C-clamps) to the jig around the large crack to prevent sudden break. Hirata will select suitable C-clamps.
- Once the blades are moved to the work bench, we will cover everything in a plastic box before releasing the stress.
