Past week report

• Tested the FRs for BF and F3.
• Measured the transfer functions of BF and F3.
• Lifted down the EQ stop into the corrugate tube. The end plate for F3 was sit on the frame lock.
• Assembled the end plate for F2 (release sensors, side stoppers).
• Extended the EQ stop to the F2 stage.
• Cabled the LVDT-Actuator and the FR for F2.
• Installed the F2 to the EQ stop and connected to the F3 by the wire.
• Calibrated the LVDT in F2.

• Opened the top chamber and the cross tube.
• Fixed the IP and the TF.
• Moved the geophones form the DP.
• Dismounted the DP.
• Let out the cables for Cryo-payload (CP) through the shield pipe.
• Installed the suspension wire for CP.
• Fixed the cables on the wire.

Type B (Mark)

Report for week of 3/5

• Mark finished -v2 of the schedule (L1807779).

• We removed the non-vacuum-compatible ballast mass from the BS tank.
• We secured all the PR2 feedthrough connections with screws.
• We grabbed an extra empty rack for SRM and set it up next to the one for SR3 (we will add boxes next week).
• We calibrated the SR2 SF LVDT sensing and actuation, and the FR.
• We measured the bounce frequencies of the SF with and without the cap, and the bounce frequency of the BF.
• We put the SF cap on and lifted and weighed the SF/... section.

• However we were unhappy with how the cap had to be forced on and off and how it lowered the load capacity (≈-433 g) and resonance frequency (0.271 Hz-> 0.23 Hz).

• We tried the cap left over from B2-3 used in one of the PRs, which was slightly better but still not great.
• We measured diameter of the original cap (B2-2) and the new one (B2-3). The original cap was almost exactly 700 mm in internal diameter, and the new one was about 0.2 mm wider.
• We moved the filter building bench and tools into the SRM area and started the rebuild of the two remaining BFs (the one from the BS Test Hang and the one with the tilted keystone).
• Mark worked on slides for the ASJ and LVC meetings.
• The SRM mushroom work was postponed due to other demands on the time of Sawada-san-tachi and Mirapro.

• SF cap problem
  • Send SF caps of PR suspensions to Mirapro to increase the inner diameter by 0.3mm.
• SR2 TF measurements: Fabian will align OSEMs on Monday next week. Then notify Shoda-san so that she can do the measurements.
