Past week report

[X-front]

• The keystone of BF had gone to the lower limit. The FR did not work. Though we can listen to the sound of stepping motor, it is unknown whether the motor is rotating.
• The keystone of F3 had gone to the lower limit too. Adjusted the height of keystone by the FR.

[Y-front]

• Recovered the analog electronics from the power outage.
• Corrected the tilt of ACCs. Moved the NIM chassis for ACC drivers to the side of the rack.

• Opened 4 feedthrough flanges. Disconnected the in-vacuum connectors from the feedthroughs.
• Undid the cables from the PI.
• Inserted the wire holder to the suspension wires.
• Dismounted the geophone pods.

Type B (Mark)

Report for week of 9/10

• We finished the in-air cabling and almost finished the in-vacuum cabling for SR2. Temporary in-vacuum cables for the three geophones, the F0 yaw stepper motor and F0 LVDT were used to test the devices, but they are too short and must be replaced later. Fortunately this can be done once the suspension is in the chamber. In the places in which the new cables will be clamped we clamped shorter cables as place holders. The F0 LVDT is currently connected whereas the geophones and the F0 yaw stepper are not (we don't even have the latter).
• We checked all the motors with the exception of the F0 yaw stepper: IM picos, BF picos, BF stepper, SF stepper, F0 stepper and IP horizontal steppers. We found the BF picomotor driver is not working. We had to use the IM driver for the test. We should replace it or fix it.
• We use the steppers to set to nominal height the BF and SF, but for the SF we could not move it too much and it is still too low.
• We tried to check the optic actuators coils but there is a problem with the MEDM screen that we need to fix next week.
• we changed the LPCD for HPCD in SR2 rack.
• We measured TFs of the GAS filters and the 6 DoF of the IM and it seems to be healthy.
• We set up the temporary oplev for SR2.
• Enzo measured transfer functions and updated the SUMCOM models.
• Panwei measured the sensitivities of all six OSEMs which will be used in SRM. The units still have to be changed to m\rtHz.
• We balanced the SF and adjusted the F0 keystone at the (new) nominal position. We had to move the F0 fishing rod one quarter of the full range up from the midpoint in order to be able to add more ballast on top of the SF and achieve the balance. We still have to measure by how much we can lift the keystone with the fishing rod in this configuration.
• We found some arc-weights in the mode cleaner corridor and we wonder whether we can use them to tune the IP’s.

• Crane SR2 into tank.
• Move SR2 in-air cables.

• Set pitch of SRM and RM, tighten clamps, remove winch system.
• Weigh IM/... section.
• Build up SS to BF level.
• Add BF.

  • And I received a report that there is an imbalance as a symptom and confirmed the phase shift circuit.-->But no problem.Moved to Kamioka at 09/13/2018 Inspection is completed(And INA103 changed(for ch1).
