Past week report
[X-front]
- Replaced additional springs to pull back the receptacle.
- Checked the motion of yaw rotation using the stepping motor. It could work.
- Adjusted the tilt of IP using the jacks.
[X-end]
- Connected the cryo-payload. Released the BF.
[Y-end]
- Released the IP. It was unstable. Removed one arc of 19-mm ballast ring.
- Centered the IP by stepping motors.
- Measured transfer functions of IPL showed low Q. Removed one more arc of ballast ring. The cabling around IP was corrected.
- The signal of LVDT for H3 was too small. Adjusted the demodulation phase in the driver.
Plan for coming weeks
- Adjustment of the TF, the BF damper, and the IP in X-end (Week of Feb 18).
Type B (Mark)
Report for week of 2/4
- We flipped the SRM glass optic assembly by 180° to put the wedge in the direction assumed by the OMMT design (which was inconsistent with the main IFO design we had been working from).
- We installed two more viewports and cameras (SR2, SR3), and reconnected the BS camera (which had been disconnected at some point). All the Type B cameras now work.
- Terrence set up the SRM TILT OL, and redid the SR2 OL with the same type of optic mounts as all the others.
- Enzo installed various control filters for damping and set points.
- Fabian did height adjustment and buoyancy correction on all SRs. There was one stuck FR in SR3 which he was able to work around, but otherwise everything went according to the default plan.
- We lowered the SRM damper to decrease the damping time below one minute.
- We split the SRM model and successfully started the new models.
- We modified the SRM top model to add ALIGN blocks for permanent GAS and IP LVDT offsets, and to have different WD thresholds for LVDTs and geophones. However we didn't have an opportunity to restart it.
- Mark redid the AC power in the SR3 and SRM racks to eliminate a messy and unsafe cable reel. He also worked on SR2 but there wasn't a good opportunity to do the final changeover.
- Mark added BIO config boards to the whitening filters for the SR OLs (as had been done for BS).
- Mark plugged in all the BNC cables for the stepper remote enable systems and set up a BIO monitor card in the SRM rack to facilitate debugging the BIO interface (the card needs +18V power and ground).
- Hirata-san got all LBBs floating and at the right height.
Plan for week of 2/12
- Pumpdown!
- Changeover SR2 AC power to new system and remove cable reel (at non-disruptive time).
- Restart k1vissrmt model to apply changes (at non-disruptive time).
- Create split models for SR2 and SR3 based on SRM ones and restart at non-disruptive time.
- Lots of BURT, MEDM etc infrastructure tasks to support Guardian.
- Debug stepper remote enable systems.
- Choose optimum switch settings for SR OL BIO config cards.
