Participants: Takahashi, Fabian, Hirata, Aso, Ishizaki, Tanaka, Fujii, Shoda, Terrence, Okutomi
Progress report
Type-A
Past week report
Modified the HPCD for the ETMY TM to increase the current limit from 40 mA to 120 mA, limited by the hardware watchdog. See entry 9541 and comments.
- The commissioning team was working on the damping filter for ETMY, the guardian for ETMX, and the DC control path.
Plan for coming weeks
Type B
Report for the week 7/15 (Written by Fabian)
- SR3 IM H2 noise hunting.
SRM oplev condition: when the suspension is in ALIGNED state the oplev (pitch) is saturated and yaw within an inconvenient range (non-linear). See klog entry 9562.
- Currently we don't have a good reference for the optic alignment and we cannot decide by how much we should move the QPD. This situation is not new and we tried to cope with it by using historical data of IM DC feedback signal in a good orientation for the DRMI. However, this strategy didn't work.
- The consequence is that in ALIGNED state the pitch feedback DC signal drifts.
Kokeyama-san and Valera aligned the mirror, provided a reference and we were able to move the QPD. See entry 9579.
- The big flange was moved to another place.
BS IM2TM transfer functions were measured in ALIGNED state with the control system on. See entry 9571.
Plan for the week 7/22
- Go back to the tunnel on Monday to continue the investigation in SR3 IM H2 OSEM noise.
Enable the SR3 IM yaw control loop, measure ASD and compare with previous measurement (entry 9494).
- Check SR3 IP damping control.
Vacation/Travel Info
Terrence goes back to Hong Kong on 7/27 (sat), last day in Kamioka: 7/25 (Thurs).
Type-Bp
Past week report
BFH output: klog
- Working on updating noise-budgeting tool.
Plan for coming weeks
OMMT & OSTM (Takahashi)
Past week report
- Checked the stock of OSEMs. 9 of 17 OSEMs are available, but evaluation is necessary.
- Confirmed some dimensions on the present OSTM. The height of the breadboards was consistent with the design one. 10mm spacer is necessary.
- Ordered the modification parts for the mirror gluing jig and the standoffs.

- And there are many junk files and directories that makes confusion.
- Script files
- Request from Commissioner
Unify the data structure so that they can easily look up the data. -> We will use /users/VISsvn or Dropbox. => We will use Dropbox
They want to check the current situation (such as TFs) by one-click. -> Shoda proposes to make the 'latest' directory to store the latest results, where the data is automatically updated with the copies of the measurements when we run the auto-measurement script. Also add the summary plot there. (sample)
- They also requested to make the templates for spectra of each guardian states (SAFE, DAMPED, ALIGNED, MISALIGNED).
template update campaign at some point? => Yes
- Shoda will make a directory structure plan
- The directory structure of the auto-measurement is different between each types of suspensions.
